Unfortunately, it’s gotten beyond being funny.
I only hope & pray that the GOP comes up with a POTUS canddate next year who has more balls than the one we have now.

hell, if we had a POTUS who had been enforcing the immigration laws and securing the borders for the past six friggin’ years; this POS wouldn’t have been profiting MILLIONS!
now we’re gonna have to pay to incarcerate this POS.

I only hope the GOP comes up with a presidential candidate next year who has more balls than the one we have in the WH!

Chavez made between $1 million and $2 million in smuggling fees and is fined $10K? Who says "crime doesn't pay!" Money crimes should be handled like civil liability, at least to start: treble damages.
You smuggle $1-2 million worth? Your fine is $6 million. You have one month to pay in full. After that, you stay in prison until it's paid.
Any property purchased during the period of the criminal activity is confiscated (no matter who "owns" it now) and sold at auction.
A $10K fine is a paltry sum. I'm sure he drank more than that in booze during the time.
