I’m certainly no fan of Sanger but she gets a bad rap in the “race” department. I have seen numerous things attributed to her that were never in her writings.

Again, she was a fundamentally flawed, pseudo-intellectual, liberal even by today’s standards but she is not the, “exterminate the black race” monster she is painted as. I found her writings to be far less racist than many newspaper articles of the same period.

Before I am accused of defending Sanger, let me say that I am not. I share none of her views on abortion nor a host of other issues. I’m simply defending facts. Painful as it was, I read her works. A great deal of what is written about her from certain pro-life activists simply is not accurate.

There was a quote in one of her early books that her goal was to TOTALLY eliminate BLACKS, CATHOLICS, and INDIANS (native Americans). But I believe she used the term NEGROS in lieu of BLACKS.

Part of the plan of Margaret Sanger and others were to use BLACK Ministers to further their plans to reduce the black population in the country.

I believe this is documented in her book:

The Pivot of Civilization, which is by Margaret Sanger. The organization against Planned Parenthood (pro-life organization STOPP) had this book online at one time...

Here is a reference that backs up what I say:

The Negro Project

The Negro Project was designed by Dr. Clarence Gamble and Margaret Sanger to use contraception to cut down on the number of black babies being born. In a December 10, 1939 letter, Margaret Sanger wrote to Gamble about the Negro Project, saying:

"We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."7

This is from the webpage:

So do some googling if you disagree...
