It's a morning for candor on "Morning Joe." Earlier, Mika "Bubbles" Brzezinski had admitted that "the SATs were not my strong suit." Later in the show, the notoriously tough-on-conservatives [see, e.g., MRC item #3 here] Tom Shales acknowledged that he has a soft spot for Dan Rather, calling himself a "Dan Man."
I'll say. Despite the overwhelming mountain of uncontroverted and incontrovertible evidence, Shales, loyal to Rather to the end, refuses to admit the obvious: that the documents at the heart of Memogate were the most transparent, amateurish of forgeries.
Substitute anchor Willie Geist interviewed Shales at 8:30 A.M. EDT this morning.

This guy really considers himself to be a "media critic"? And the WashPost pays him to be one? In what sense is he a "critic"? The "media' is a really screwed up industry.
On a separate note, what has my favorite (to look at) newsbabe, Michelle Kosinski, been up to? I'm guessing she has not made anymore dumb blonde comments lately?
Shales is billed as “media critic” at WaPo, for what it’s worth.
As for Michelle, she’s paddling away ;-) She turns up regularly on NBC/MSNBC, often from disaster/celebrity news sites. At the end of August she was on the monumental story of Dunkin’ Donuts taking trans-fats out of it donuts!
Shales desperately needs another triple-cheese-extra-mayo-double-bacon-burger STAT.
And don't go skimpy with the curly fries, neither.
I thought it was spelled, "Rathergate".
