“my guess is someone made a little donation to this guys ministry in that last coupla weeks. someone not from the fred camp.”

My guess is that you are wrong, and that you are making an accusation you would need to apologise for later, in the case of Dr. James Dobson. There are still some men of integrity. There are quite a few issues on which I would disagree with Dr. Dobson, and I could never work with him, but this man’s motivations do not reflect political ambition. I believe he is devoted to Christ, and I don’t believe he would endorse or not endorse any man for a donation to Focus on the Family. I will defend this man unless there is irreproachable evidence of being on the take. He is not on the take.

I believe it when it is said that he is speaking as a private individual and not for Focus on the Family organization. He does have the progative to do that, and the IRS evidently has believed him in a previous question along this line.

I agree with you completely. I don’t agree with everything Dobson says. But he is a man of integrity (though a sinner, like me). And to assume that he’s corrupt betrays a subtle animosity toward high-profile Christians.

jeez. see my post #260.

i had no idea this guy was so inflammatory. but come on. saying that this guys views have nothing to do with this gigantic intergalactic corporation that he founded, is the chairman of AND who produces his far-reaching radio show is a little naive, imho. these are just his personal views? come on.

and i love how people who would destroy the IRS on principle 364 days a year will stand by their impeccable judgement when it comes to clearing this guy of any wrongdoing.

again, i don't know who this guy is. he doesn't get much press in new york city. if the people in fly-over country want to take their cues from dobson because he wants a constitutional ban on gay-marriage, then fine. just wait until hillary gets elected and the new national flag becomes an upside-down rainbow triangle.

this guy needs to bring himself into the 21st century. his issues just don't matter when you are talking about electing the leader of the free world.

oh, and another thing. why don't strongly religious people favor states rights? why does this guy want the federal government to legislate morality. more specifically, HIS morality.

he should worry about his own house and stop trying to push his values on the entire country. what's good for arkansas might not be so good for new york. maybe next he'll be pushing for a constitutional ban on judaism. or atheism.

I did a little checking because of this thread regarding Dobson’s finances. He doesn’t even take a salary from his ministry anymore. No money to him from Focus on the Family.
