Yah, it’s a funny sort of argument to me. I wasn’t a Christian until I was in my late 30’s. Before I became a Christian, I could use anything I knew or believed to be true and apply it to politics, and nobody said that I didn’t have a right to do it. But, suddenly, now that I am a Christian, I supposedly should not apply what I know and believe to political discussions. It’s a double standard and a darn poor one, because I didn’t understand much before I was a Christian; my understanding was brittle and didn’t have the depth to it on a lot of issues that it does now. Bottom line I’m a better and more knowledgeable person because I am a Christian — I have to be — I have Christ and the Holy Spirit within me. Everyone other than Christians can speak out regarding politics. Christians are not allowed to according to a brittle and misinformed, but loud, group out there in society.
