My research consists of paying medical bills and health insurance in Texas for the last eight years. Its possible that I’m the only person in Texas that has experienced an increase in costs, but I doubt it.

Terminology misunderstanding: The article refers to malpractice premiums, not to your personal insurance premiums (to which the cost of malpractice premiums are only one of many contributing financial factors). I take you at your word that your personal insurance premiums have been increasing.

Actually, now that I think about it I am certain you are correct, since I read how Texas ERs are stuffed with vast numbers of illegal Mexican patients, getting "free" care (out of your wallet, since the money to treat them has to come from somewhere).
