Here are Mr. Brunkhorst's posts to that other forum in 2004:

"Why you picking on me?

I understand it's been an emotional election, but WTF, I put my money where my mouth is. After tax cuts for people in my bracket, I decided to give my tax cut to defeat the Neo-Con's in DC. In my mind, they are the primary cancer in American politics. Dem's have baggage as well - most notably trial attorneys - another cancer.

The real question is: How do we make America a better and safer country? - Especially for fishermen...

My support for the Sierra Club is all about Florida's Phosphate industry, their dumping in the Gulf, and the resulting increase in Sarasota Red Tide. I realize my convictions make me an easy target for the RNC – forget about me – ask a local expert... and use your common sense.

The elections are over. George W. Bush is my President and I will support him, as I would any President.

I respect those who may boycott Boar’s Head products because of my beliefs. However, I know that my tax cut should have been used to reduce our deficit or to reduce payroll taxes for the middle-class.

I thank God I live in a country where we can agree to disagree and freely express our opinions.

Maybe I’m naïve, but that’s what America is all about.

Sincerely,

Frank Brunckhorst

"

--------------------------------------------------------- Guys,

Please remember that the Republican led FEC is responsible for their interpretation of Section 527. I abide by all laws - even those I don't agree with - why not be pissed at the law makers instead of the law abiders?

"However, usually donators expect some form of return, 900K down the drain, now that’s got to hurt a little."

It's too true that many donors (R’s and D’s) expect some form of return. But - not all of them - and certainly not me. If I wanted a loophole for meatpackers, I would have supported Tom Delay. Instead, I look at our soldiers, the working poor, the elderly, and the middleclass. They are the Americans making sacrifices in today’s world – while the rich get richer...

And, YES (!), the 900K hurts! - I could have given it to the http://www.nyfoundling.org where it’s now needed more than ever.

-------------------------------------------------------

If it makes any difference, rest assured that my days of political donations are over and I really do wish President Bush the best for the sake of America/Americans.

My heart is with the http://www.nyfoundling.org and they really do need more help than ever. I have everything I want or need (including my Grady Islander) – my future tax cuts will go to help the kids.

I still hope you’ll reconsider your boycott.

Agree to disagree?

Sincerely,

-F

Sucks to be a traitor, Frank.

I'll buy Kunzler. Now, more than ever.

At least *I* know they'll never waste their monies on Socialists.

BTW, Frank.....just a quick question. Since ya didn't want the tax cut, why didn't ya do what any supposedly "good" pinko would do and up the pay for yer friggin' workers???!!!

Oh, yeah, or fork over that 900k+ to some 100% tried and true American charity working to better all of America's children.

Sorry, Frank. Your products are overpriced and generic when compared to my local sources of meats.

Say hello to Uncle Joe, Cousin Pol Pot and the Chairman when ya get to where you belong, in the end.

Anyone who supports George Bush is fine with me. I don't boycott Walmart because they buy from China. Walmarts has the lowest price. Boars Head has the finest meats so I buy them.

I put my money where my mouth is

I agree.

I thank God I live in a country where we can agree to disagree and freely express our opinions.

Again I could not agree more.

Dem's have baggage as well - most notably trial attorneys - another cancer.

This guy could be a conservative Republican soon.

For some reason I think you have a grudge against the company. I don't see you declaring no conflict of interest for your boycott. I have to ask, Are using the power of Freeping for your own good? I don't agree with Mr. B on some issues but he does not deserve to be trashed in this manner.

Really? Their meat is pretty expensive too. I think they simply prorate the cost of the political contributions to every pound of meat they sell.

I don’t even know if we have that brand around here, but I’ll add it to my list of personal boycotts (along with all Hormel products and Progressive insurance). Thanks for the tip.

“I respect those who may boycott Boar’s Head products because of my beliefs. However, I know that my tax cut should have been used to reduce our deficit or to reduce payroll taxes for the middle-class.”

Our tax cut went to restore the decades of tax INCREASES that the Democrats impaled us with, in particular hizzoner Dan Rostenkoski..Reagan reduced the taxes, Clinton raised them in a record increase, and Bush lowered them again, especially the hated Estate Tax..Now the Dems want to raise taxes by billions—to pay for universal healthcare, and to greatly increase their entitlements to all their constituents..well no thanks..I don’t feel that any group is Entitled to grab money just like that..it is our hard earned middle class working dollars that are paying these Entitlements to those who will not work, or work only when necessary. Enough of socialism under the Democrats....and your baloney is lousy too !

I went to high school near their plant. One guy worked there after class and when he was going to college. His father and uncle, both Polish immigrants, worked there full time. It is great food.

I got a feeling this the founding sons of the founding fathers syndrome. Papa (or grand dad or great^N grand dad) Bruckhorst started the company and the idiot descendants live off the great business their ancestors started.

The Democrats attract the “status quo” rich, people who are afraid of social mobility. Bruckhorst doesn’t want a lot of Hoi Polloi crowding the beach on Nantucket.

Thanks for the info. I'll buy the local store brand.

How strange--even his name Frank Brunckhorst sounds like a deli meat selection.

Just the fact that he supports the Sierra Club is enough to make me puke over Boars Head..I suspect his 900k is doing a lot of good in the Sierra Clubs efforts to drain Lake Powell in AZ..That's just a drop in the bucket of what these leftist want to do

Mr. Brunkhorst's go pound your Boars Head, Bologna, you socialist liberal...
