Just wonder if we will ever get a judge that will rule murder of victims “cruel and unusual”
Every capital felon should be executed, and it should be brutal.
Our society falls when we value the rights of criminals over the rights of victims

We should just HANG or SHOOT via firing squad PERPS. Since those were acceptable means at the time of the signing of the Constitution, it would be very hard for some IDIOT judge to say they are “Unconstitutional.”

A federal judge has ruled that Tennessee's procedure for lethal injections is cruel and unusual punishment. Looks like a ruling for the Supremes to slap down.
To: SmithL
The order does not give him a stay of execution. The ruling says the death sentence remains until it can be lawfully executed by a valid method of execution Time to break out old sparky?

So was slavery, wife beating, debtors prisons and an endless number of things. That doesn’t mean we should bring them back into practice.

Time to break out old sparky?Actually, TN did break out ole sparky just a week or so ago. Despite protests that the power was too low, it did its job just fine.

IF ever this becomes the law across America, people will start taking matters into their own hands...can you say vigilantes!

Perhaps we could just take them to a local abortion clinic and have their brains sucked out...

“Our society falls when we value the rights of criminals over the rights of victims”
You’re right. The dirty little secret is that these criminals exercised their rights: They were duly arrested, tried and sentenced. That is the point where their rights ended and liberal courts are handing out special privileges under the name of rights.
Democrats love criminals. That is the true nature of gun control: It conceals a lax prosecution and limp wristed approach on criminals. But its no wonder democrats love criminals: Just look at where many German Nazis came from—ex-prison thugs.

The legal profession is pretty hostile to the English language sometimes.
How can the usual method of execution be "cruel and unusual"???
Notice, the Constitution does not prohibit cruel punishment, nor unusual punishment, but only those punishments which are both cruel and unusual.

A more cynical person might say that someone already did that to the judge.

Someone please clarify the definition of cruel and unusual punishment. I am sure the murderers who deserve the death penalty showed serious concern for killing their victims in a “human” method....
Seriously - what is inhumane about giving someone an IV drug that makes them go to sleep, then a giving them a paralytic, then shutting down their heart?
More judicial activism at work here - an anti-death penalty judge.
