We are exposing our kids to too much information at too early an age. Now we are reaping the whirlwind.

Whatever our opinions of sex education are, the popular media is drowing our kids in filth. As a parent you can do your best to keep your kids from it. You simply cannot do it in total though.

Unless you keep your kid in a closet 24 hours a day, never send them to school or over to another child’s home to play, your kids will see what is presented by our nation’s media. And some of them will act it out.

This isn’t an isolated incident. This type of thing is taking place quite often these days. We only hear about it once in a while.

I think that we pay too little attention to the messages TV, movies, and songs are putting out there for our kids. Step back and just watch a popular animated TV show sometime. How are the dads portrayed? the moms? Who are the ones that are 'in charge?' What about churches and ministers in general? Listen to women being called vile names in music and see how they are portrayed in videos - just pieces of meat. Even those idiotic BRATZ dolls for little girls are inappropriate

You are right - we are indeed reaping a whirlwind and I pity the death of innocence.

"Exposing" is too passive a word. The media are "exposing" it. The schools are shoveling into their brains.
