I was stationed in SD years ago, have been to LA and SF countless times since.

I like the four seasons, its a personal choice for me.

If you lived here, where I’m at in Ohio, you might think differently....but then again, the Ohio GOP is totally corrupt here, so we might mirror what your dealing with today in another decade.

Well, no wonder you have such a warped view of such a large state. Yes, California has been dominated, politically, by leftist nutjobs for a while now, but they mostly reside in exactly the areas you seem to like to visit. In fact, the mistake that most people across the country make is thinking that LA, SF, and the coastal areas in between represent the whole state. They do not. Quit limiting yourself to the homo areas and you'll have a much better time.

I'd also like to remind people that California regularly has about 45% Republican turnout. Considering that California has about 1/7 of the country's population, that's a lot of freaking conservatives. When Civil War II comes, the CA patriots will be the ones kicking the most ass.
