Then it seems to me that this "believer" is living in an alternate reality. On the other hand, I don't think that sort of response is typical of people who are working under the "umbrella" of so-called Intelligent Design. Judging from the posters we see on these threads, this is not as rare as you think.
The number of creationists/IDers who post very strange and unscientific ideas is not limited to just a few.

I was called an ignorant "naturalist" who was too uneducated to understand why there REALLY IS evidence of a geocentric universe.
