Also from the article:

It leaves the Star Tribune without a leader at a time when business continues to deteriorate. The paper’s advertising director, Mike LaBonia, announced his resignation earlier this month. The newspaper industry in total has seen rapid decline of both classified and display advertising revenues. The Star Tribune has lost 20 percent of its staff in two rounds of voluntary buyouts this year.

The great thing about America is people have the right to run their company into the ground.

Instead of using their rag to force PC garbage down our throats perhaps they should consider what the customer actually wants.

Of the two biggest newspapers in the Twin Cities, one will become the last-one-standing before this decade is out.

It’s happened throughout all the major outlets and it always begins with downsizing, buyouts, editorial conspiracies and eventually a purchase and purge.
