Since the U.S. Federal government has become increasingly independent minded, often openly acting directly at odds with the will of the people they are sworn to represent, American voters are becoming increasingly interested in finding out exactly who their government is taking orders from, since it clearly isnt them.

All the articles before 2007 are archived. I’ll have to wait until I get to work tomorrow where I can get my login to the research library to find the old publications. I know there were several written by Mitt. Personally, I thought of it as a resume enhancement.

That would be great, I like things to be to be “written in stone” and irrefutable when they can be.

Now I dont believe CFR rules the world or whatever. Its a think tank, not a “shadow government”. However I did take a few mins to research and I couldnt find any position paper that called for closed borders. I did find proposals for everything theyve been accused of supporting. Open borders, North American Union, common currency. The most conservative proposal featured the typical guest worker program but even then the author seemed to think of it only as a beginning to be expanded on later.

Impenetrable in their dissimulation, cruel in their vengeance, tenacious in their purposes, unscrupulous as to their methods, animated by profound and hidden hatred for the tyranny of man / it is as though there exists among them an ever-present conspiracy toward domination, a sort of alliance like that subsisting among the priests of every country.- Denis Diderot,

There was a time in America (long, long ago) when disagreeing on a single didn’t condemn either party involved.

I would say if the CFR is as large as speculated, with their finger’s in as many pies as suggested by some. It would be reasonable to wager that Fred Thompson is not their sole investment but also Hillary Clinton. Be redundant and leave nothing to chance. This is speaking STRICTLY theoretically of course, all in good fun.

As we have learned Romney is the one with the power connection to the CFR as leadership.

Watch the entire video in the link provided in my post #49 for the quote by Clinton.
“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.”
Bill Clinton March 11, 1993
I’m sure Hillary feels the same.

My point was that you don’t have to agree with them — or Foreign Affairs magazine — on every single point. I assure you that by reading Foreign Affairs (or even just the stuff posted on the website) you will walk away better informed.
I am increasingly disturbed by the attitude adopted by some that they should only read material they already are in agreement with. It’s an absurd stance.
