Council on Foreign Relations One World Conspiracy or New World Think Tank?
Great American Journal ^ | 9/16/07 | JB Williams

Posted on 09/16/2007 6:56:02 PM PDT by msnpatriot

Since the U.S. Federal government has become increasingly independent minded, often openly acting directly at odds with the will of the people they are sworn to represent, American voters are becoming increasingly interested in finding out exactly who their government is taking orders from, since it clearly isn’t them.

Fred Thompson is their pick for president and that scares the heck out of me.

The UN building is full of them. The international monitary fund, power corp, the world bank, and a thousand other NGO's with choice elite people appointed to hide within them, ex Prime ministers and other former politicians and activists like Jane Goodall, put there by a group of unelected marxists, the worlds richest elite who control them all.

There is plenty of good reading here:

Are you calling Phyllis Schlaffly a liar?

I thought I had read recently that Angelina Jolie is a CFRer?

Is this true?

Yes! Foreign Affairs magazine gets its first Playboy style fold out!

She is the UN Goodwill ambassador, a purely PR post. With this, she has been granted membership to a lot of organizations to represent the UN for the typical fluffy for show type events.

Basically, Angelina Jolie is a spokesmodel for the UN.

You do know your man Mitt is also a member of the CFR, and not just an advisory member like Fred (and pretty much every other lobbyist and researcher in DC), Mitt actually had a leadership position in the CFR:

(note the category he is in- leadership and staff)

“Knowing several people who are members of the CFR . . .”

It’s a “who’s who” at elite cocktail parties and people like us FReepers are not welcome, I assure you. People like Fred Thompson, on the other hand, are welcomed with open arms. I smell a rat!

They decided Bill Clinton should be president and he came out of nowhere. They are backing Hillary and Fred. They hedge their bets.

Are you calling Phyllis Schlaffly a liar?

If you are referring to Phyllis Schlafly, then liar isn't probably the best word, paranoid may be a better word. Phyllis, although she is right on a lot of things, has a strong paranoid streak and sees connections where there isn't connections. She's been writing books on these conspiracies since the early 60s (I have several of the older ones signed from my John Birch and given to me by my former Bircher parents.).. the one consistent thing about Phyllis' conspiracies is she is constantly changing the players to fit the bogeyman of the day. I think she honestly believes in the conspiracy, but I think this is a case more like one would find in Foucault's Pendulum, seeing connections and conspiracies only because others believe they exist.. ie. the conspiracy is a big cycle of delusion where every proof really just relies on another's theory as it's proof..

You really need to challenge your assumptions. There actually are several Freepers who are members. Most of whom, you would recognize.

Imagine a world where Jolie had the political leanings of her dad.

Maybe she’ll get over her little rebellious streak one day.

She’s an actress, it doesn’t matter what she believes. Her celebrity might be doing some good in regards to NGOs, but I don’t see it influencing policy.

For the record, I am glad they scrapped the idea of a Jeane Kirkpatrick foldout.

Phyllis S used to be the darling of conservatives but alas now the sophisticated FReepers view her as an old hack has-been with outdated ideas and a homosexual kid. Too bad. She saved us from the ERA (almost single handedly) and was the original pro lifer. I have a lot of respect for her and I personally don’t think she is wrong about the Council on Foreign Relations.

For victory & freedom!!!

After the Henry Kissinger centerfold, I had to cancel my subscription to Foreign Affairs for about a year until my eyesight returned.

I couldn’t find where it listed his title or type of membership, do you have those for Fred and Mitt?

I just need to see it in a clearer form that I can quote.

Look at the category the bio is listed in: leadership and staff.

Fred doesn’t have a bio listed because his membership was simply an associate member, the type of membership you and I would get if we needed to employ the CFRs services to provide research or if we wanted to submit articles.

I remember an old article Mitt wrote several years ago and he was listed as a Director, albeit, I’ll have to look to see if that is still in the archive. It does make sense, Mitt is a smart guy and brought a lot to this. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was given a leadership position during his Olympic workings, it probably would help him out in that regard and improve the CFR’s profile.

There seems to be a lot of uncomplimentary statements about the CFR by noteworthy people one wouldn't think to be part of the conspiracy you mention.
