O.J. Simpson has been arrested in Las Vegas and will likely be charged on three counts -- conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and armed robbery with a deadly weapon, according to CNN.
Story developing ...
My thoughts exactly. Alfred Beardsley has to be scared of what O.J.'s "associates" might do to him.
Looks like OJ was getting kickbacks on memorabilia sales by these dealers and wasn’t reporting the income to the IRS nor the families of his murder victims.
And it also looks like OJ got greedy and wanted a bigger kickback and decided to rip off the dealer in the hotel.
Only 8 of the jurors were black. It took all 12 to find him not guilty.
Beardsley isn’t afraid of OJ. It seems like Beardsley is afraid of an IRS/criminal investigation into his business relationship with Mr. Simpson.
HOLY #$%^!!!
There are some SERIOUS charges against him. He is going to spend T I M E in prison. PLUS- Nevada has MANDATORY non-probationary sentences- and NOT concurrent.
I think this is exactly right. I'd say he gave the guys the stuff to sell, reported it stolen etc. He should do time for violating the court order, tax evasion, conspiracy to do each, conspiracy to armed robbery just to name a few...
Thanks,....LOL the hat definitely said Derby the rest of her outfit said something much different.
Are you hearing the press conf? Yikes!
This man needs to go away. While you make valid points about the importance of Washington’s business vs a thug, maybe this will be the end of “The Juice”.
It also looks like what got OJ so enraged is the dealer’s collaboration to sell the suit and other items to help the Goldmans. They ‘betrayed’ him. The timing of this and the release of the book is no accident.
Proving that stupidity comes in all colors.
I want OJ in jail. However, he is a secondary story to what affects the masses. I would like nothing better than to see OJ serve time.
Wonder if it will happen?
I completely agree with you.
I ALSO know that every now and then I take a little time off and pay attention to meaningless, utter nonsense..just to keep myself sane.
This is one of those times.
I’m REALLY enjoying watching this. Call me petty and small-minded:)
It’d be SOOOO ironic if he’s found guilty.
Abrams is on MSNBC right now, and he knows about this history - here is a portion of a transcipt from one of his shows back in 04:
10:29 a.m. ET Nov 24, 2004
-snip-
Today, a man named Alfred Beardsley was subpoenaed to appear in court to see if he was helping O.J. squirrel away cash. Beardsley is an O.J. Simpson fan and memorabilia collector. The Goldman family suspected Beardsley might be up to no good after hearing hed done some business with Simpson in the past. Heres what O.J. had to say about that.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
SIMPSON: For them to tell the courts that this guy is a friend of mine, other than the guy whos an autograph collector, who I may have seen twice in my life, twice in my entire life. Certainly Ive never done any business with him, other than autographs.
(END VIDEO CLIP)
ABRAMS: We will talk to the man at thewe talked to the man at the center of that court hearing, Alfred Beardsley earlier today. He said when he reported to the courthouse, there was a closed door hearing and he was forced to give over two press passes that would be considered O.J. Simpson memorabilia.
Sometimes a very un-Christian side of me floats to the surface, and it is in that vein that I sincerely hope a despondent, hopeless OJ makes good on his 13 year old suicide note. I know he's too much of a narcissist and coward to do it, but hey, if Martin Luther King can have a dream, I can, too....
Guffaw!!!!!
Bwwhahahahahaa!!! It gets better by the minute:)
