Wow! I arrived at the Borders book store in Farmington, CT about 15 minutes late and missed Laura's introductory remarks, but the line for a signed book was still snaking through the book store! There must have been about 100 people in front of me when I got into line, allowing me to read through the intro and into the first chapter. Good stuff, right on the money! After having my book signed and getting a picture with Laura there were likely 50 people behind me.
GREAT turn out, far more than the 30 or so chairs set up around the podium. Everyone waited patiently, many "Support the Troops" yellow ribbons and a few "Bush-Cheney '04" stickers in the parking lot. :) No screaming hippies in pink. ;)
Anyway, after the quick digi-pic I passed along a message from Freeper "The Spirit of Allegiance" that Laura has Freepmail waiting for her. She didn't quite hear me so I had to repeat "Freepmail, on Free Republic."
Laura's response, "Oh, Free Republic... Free Republic rocks!"
