More than a week after Geraldo Rivera said he'd spit on Michelle Malkin if he ever saw her, the controversial Fox News anchor issued an apology on last night's "O'Reilly Factor."
"I just, you're so filled with emotion," Rivera said referring to the incident. "Someone calls you a liar and a fool, you want to strike back at them. It was an unguarded moment."
"I totally apologize, that's not me, I don't spit. I'm not a spitter," he said.

BILL O'REILLY: Now, Michelle Malkin and you got into a little bit of a—you called her a, you said something nasty, you wanna say something?
GERALDO RIVERA: I said that I would spit on her if I saw her, she called me a fool and a liar. I totally apologize for that, it was ungentlemanly, it was an ungallant thing to say. Not like me, I'm not a spitter. And I completely apologize to Michell Malkin.
O'REILLY: --Why did you say it?

I’m not sorry Geraldo for calling you an immature, liberal jerk — because you are. BTW, if I am watching Fox News and you come on Geraldo, I turn the channel without apologizing. It’s a very sincere channel turn.
As for Michelle Malkin — YOU GO GIRL and thank you for all your journalistic, blogging, reporting endeavors. I appreciate your honesty and candid, forthright approach which shows in your writing and reporting.

Every single time Whor-aldo comes on TV and tried to debate Michelle regarding “immigration”....she hands him his ass.
He is soooooooooooo into lying and talking over her that he comes off looking like a complete moron. I’ve noticed a distinct change in Michelle over the last year on TV. She really has come into her own. She comes on TV armed with 100% of the facts needed to pounce on Jerry.......while he just sits there and stammers and whines about all hispanics being victims.
Jerry is pathetic apologist for illegals, nothing more.

In our house when Geraldo comes on the channel gets changed.
And it seems that he is popping up on almost every FOX show nowdays as if FOX doesn’t really know what to do with him and are just trying to salvage something out of his expensive contract.
He is singlehandedly doing what MSNBC and CNN cannot do themselves - reducing FOX viewership.

Is it just me - or do random threats of violence (and I consider spitting on someone to be a form of assault) seem to just pour from the liberal side? I cannot remember the last time I saw a conservative figure threaten violence towards someone they disagree with philosophically. Am I missing something? Do conservatives threaten to beat up, spit on, kill, choke liberals and I’m just missing it?

The apology was self serving. He should have said he was emotionally incapable of dealing with illegal immigration (and a lot of other issues), because he’s a fool and a liar.
He only apologized because he was terrified that feisty little Michelle would kick his butt sometime, and think of the humiliation, Whorealdo getting beat up by a girl!
It’s time for Geraldo’s nose to be adjusted again.
