Imus' insult of the Rutgers basketball team didn't get a lot of attention because those players were from Rutgers . . . it got a lot of attention because he was Don Imus.

Rutgers is an inconsequential school from a sh!tty "blue" state, and 90% of the people in the U.S. probably don't even know that it is New Jersey's state university.
