Marrying a political attack with a fundraising gambit, Rudy has fashioned his own ad for the New York Times. He blasted it out to supporters this afternoon as part of a money solicitation and has put a portion of it on his website just above a contribution form.

I won’t be voting for Rudy because he’s too liberal for my tastes, but I absolutely LOVE how he takes no sh!t from the moonbats.

I think Fred Thompson is probably too smart to throw money into the New York Times, in a state that has absolutely no return on the investment. That would be very wasteful spending of campaign cash. I question Giuliani’s wisdom in doing it, other than for the sensationalism of making the scene.

"Read the comments on the link. Soccermom is there trashing FreeRepublic as a “rightwing version of KOS, and not in a good way”. She’s pitching a bitch about being banned for “defending Rudy”."

I went and read the thread she said she got banned over - I'd say she got banned for goading FR's owner and for calling anyone who won't vote for Rudy "unpatriotic", not for merely "defending Rudy".

Fred Thompson: Rudy Giuliani's Pro-Abortion, Republican Views Don't Mix

I don’t know but I won’t be voting for ANY abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, constitution trampling liberal that’s for sure. Not now. Not ever. - Jim Robinson

Hoo-ah!

Oh yeah. Nice ad by Rudy. Good job. But we really need more substance than style in the White House.

Good point about NYC... but also consider that anyone who reads USA Today (with a circulation of 2.3 million) has also read about and seen a picture of the ad.

No one takes USA Today seriously. That is the fluff of all fluff newspapers.

I’m on your side, but that did look like one of those Romney type posts that they love so much.

You're right, but I don't see them (or any of the other NYT-follower papers) picking up Giuliani's ad as a news story, particularly if it looks bad for Democrats.

See #83.

Nice try but no cigar. The ad has won Giuliani exceptional and favorable publicity across the country, starting with Bill Bennett's three million listeners, Rush's millions, however many, and no doubt every other conservative talk show by sundown. A GOP candidate who has the primaries in front of him could not do better. But then what do I know, I'm not a "paid political consultant." Good luck with that btw but don't quit your day job.

I am so glad that someone got sick and tired of the dems treating our military folks and leaders like 2nd class citizens. It is racism of the worst sort and they proven throught the 2000 election that they view them as subcitizens. I was mad then and I’m furious now that Hillary can claim top dem status and yet call our 4 star general a liar! Thank you Rudy! We NEED someone to stand up every week and debunk these lying hypocrites - we’ve been taking it for far too long!

Okay... the Kilmandkkakeoi Weekly Reporter also did a write up. Better? LOL.

The fact is USA Today (a paper that reaches many eyes outside of the state of New York) has written about rudy’s ad. Whether it (or any paper) is taken seriously depends on who you are talking to.

USA Today did a write up about the moveon ad and rudy's ad which you can read here...

Rudy earns points in my book for running this ad in the New York Times, pounding both Hillary and MoveOn.org while defending the honorable General Petraeus' record.

DITTO...he gets the game.

It looks like he hit a home run with this ad.

I think that we all benefited from this.

It will even create a better environment for and a better market for Fred’s outspokenness.

I have a copy of it from the NYT that I purchased at my local Starbucks this morning.

Ah! This is great! (not)

The NYT has created a controversy on its own pages and helped itself sell more papers! sigh/

That would have been a great ad to have run on a full page.
