Marrying a political attack with a fundraising gambit, Rudy has fashioned his own ad for the New York Times. He blasted it out to supporters this afternoon as part of a money solicitation and has put a portion of it on his website just above a contribution form.

I don’t support Rudy for other reasons.
I’m a Fred fan but won’t come on your topic to talk up my guy.
Their ad was despicable. Their ad should be shown in every newspaper in the country so the American people know who the enemy is and Hillary is their candidate of choice. Good Job Rudy.
You're right. You'll never see Fred Thompson in drag.

Fabulous!!! Bravo, Rudy!
Excellent.
Good on Rudy for returning fire.
If people are going to base their vote on that and that alone, God help us all.
He is a true leader in a time when leaders are in short supply.
Heh.
Looks like Rudy - the guy conservative Freepers love to hate - is the only one with the gonads to take on both the media _and_ the 'rats (as if they aren't one and the same).
He was EXACTLY this way as mayor of New York: a scrapper who wasn't afraid to take on the opposition head-to-head. He didn't always win, but at least he fought for his positions as if he was actually _trying_ to win.
He will be this way as president too - EXACTLY the opposite of the current occupant of that office.
So, what does Mr. Thompson have to say about all this?

Rush on this now...
I’m not a big supporter of Rudy, but good for him on taking Hillary and the rest of the democrats on this way. Outstanding job.
Typing?
“Asked to respond, Hillary spokesman Mo Elleithee said, “Mayor Giuliani might be to content to bury his head in the sand when it comes to ending the war in Iraq, but Sen. Clinton will continue to ask the hard questions in an effort to get out troops home.”
too content to? content to? our troops?
MSM leftwinger Howie Kurtz was on CNN claiming his MoveOn buddies paid the standard rate, everybody was lying, etc., etc., and making the usual excuses for treason.
Where was your ad?
Hey, I'll vote for Rudy... if he wins the GOP nomination. Matter of fact, I'll vote for any Republican ('Cept Ron Paul, but he hasn't a Hsuman's chance) against the Dems!
If we want the Dems to win... all we have to do is not vote for the GOP. Sadly, several folks here on FR will sit out the election out because their horse is not in the last race.
AND that is the best way... to find yourself and the whole danged nation neck deep in horse manure!
How many modern day pols would have the cajones to return a $10M check?
One as far as I can tell.
“To the Thompson supporters, Fred is no Rudy.”
Reminds me of the Peanuts comic strip where Charlie Brown gets fed up and says “Someday I’ll be president and then you’ll all be sorry!” To which Lucy says “I’ll say we will!”
Thank GOD for that! Why would we want to Rudy's -- or two Freds for that matter -- to chose from? Prefer Fred, but would vote for EITHER against sHrillary. And this was a good ad by Rudy.
to Rudy’s = two Rudy’s sheesh...
Quote: “I respectfully disagree. The fact that any Republican called her out at all is remarkable.”
Exactly, the add was a perfect blend of attack and restraint. Hillary lives, thrives and depends on being able to play the victim. It is imperative to attack her, but it must be done in such a way as to make her look pathetic and weak if and when she plays the victim card as I am sure she will here.
I actually have several running. How did you know what I do?
Nope. There's his anti-gun, pro-abortion, "freedom is about authority", nasty little totalitarian streak that crosses him off of my list.
