I remember seeing The Producers at a revival house in Boston about 7 years ago. A very obviously gay couple were behind us, and it was really interesting: they laughed uproariously at all of the irreverent, politically incorrect humor UNTIL it came to the scene with the producer Roger Debris and his little sidekick.
Then it became DEADLY quiet in the row behind us, then a whisper, "Well, I'm ready to go. I don't want to sit through the rest of this s***."

An atheist would say, "no one had less to do with this award than Jesus." Understandable from an atheist.
An atheist would not say, "Suck it up Jesus." That would imply that Jesus could hear. Any atheist will tell you that He can't, because in their view He's long dead. Nor would He hear that comment, even if alive, unless He were within hearing range of her voice. To suggest that He could hear omni-presently certainly is not atheistic. Is it?
An atheist would also not believe, "This is my god now." about a statue. A believing atheist would decry "gods" and "goddesses." They would believe in themselves, in their own aging, in their own debilitation, failing, and death. They would believe that they would hit the dirt, rot, and never be thought of again. "This is the end...my friend."
An atheist with a cross around her neck as the article points out at the end is saying something.
