Image what would happen if they served pork sausages.

I suspect they get more than enough of that after lights out.

“...33 prisoners were involved in the melee...The other 300 prisoners accepted the meal without incident...”

Let’s be frank. The 33 were brats.

I bet your mom gets plenty of sausage working in prisons.

Is there some private dispute between you two?

Gartman said damage to the jail was light.

This stuff really irritates me. The cost might have been "light" but certainly was hundreds of dollars, if not more. Dollars the taxpayer picks up! I agree with whomever said they should be served sausage for all meals for 30 days.

It was four years ago almost to the day when my wife informed me that half of my kielbasa had fallen to the floor and been eaten by the dogs.

I don’t know, I just lost it. I went on a rampage and woke up the next day in a field. I was naked except for a captain’s hat and a coin changer.

I don’t remember any of it but I apparently killed eleven people and seriously injured twice as many. The property damage came in at $276,923.

You don’t mess with a man’s sausage. She hasn’t served it since. It’s just not worth the risk.

“I suspect they get more than enough of that after lights out.”

Yeah that happens. Did you know that in most jails most of the inmates have not been convicted yet? I’m in my office right now looking over our county jail inmate list and just under 85% of those in our jail are people who haven’t had their day in court yet. Most of them are going to end up getting convicted. Some of them are there on bogus charges that will end up getting dropped. All of those awaiting trial are supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Just some food for thought.

He’s some guy that wants everybody locked up and now he’s making jokes about them being raped. His mother works in prisons. I don’t particularly like prison rape jokes. It’s happened to too many of my young clients. It was an entirely inappropriate comment I made. I know that. But he appears to like that sort of humor so I thought I’d join in the fun.

Warden Jann Gartman said 33 prisoners were involved in the melee Tuesday evening. Officers from the Lea County Sheriff's and Hobbs police departments were called to the jail to restore control. The jail was locked down after the incident.

Remove the 33 prisoners and then give the remaining 300 about 3 extra sausages each with the note, "Courtesy of The 33, What Happens if You Riot"

Most of them were hardened criminals, but one guy there was sent up on robbery just for casing a joint.

Get it? Casing?

Okay, there's some history there so I'll butt out.

I don’t particularly like prison rape jokes. It’s happened to too many of my young clients.

I won't comment on the jokes as I'm often guilty of bad jokes. But I certainly agree with you about the rape situation, to the extent it exists. No person should be raped. I don't see rape as acceptable punishment for prisoners. I see the rape of a young person as being particularly damaging. I see the rape of an innocent person as being particularly damaging.

Any old “swabbies” out there will recall that if you screwed up you could get three days of bread and water.
