CORSICANA, Texas — The live-in boyfriend of the mother of a 6-year-old found hanged and sexually assaulted has been arrested in connection with the child's death in Texas, KDFW-TV reported Thursday.
Kevin Anders was arrested after the lifeless body of Hannah Mack was found hanging in the garage by a rope around the neck.

I have been around for a long time and it always saddening me when I read these types of stories. Yes you may be right he may be innocent and if he is I feel sorry for him and the mother, but way too often, at least here in Indiana, when this type of thing happens it turns out to be the live-in boyfriend. And in waaaaay too many cases the mother knows the guys a creep, or has been involved in similar situations with other kids, but doesn’t care because she’s getting her needs met, whatever those needs are. If the kids get hurt in the process oh well she can always find a sperm donor and have another. I know that sounds harsh, but I have just seen it too many times and too often the mother walks with no responsibility pinned on her for her poor choices.

Coincidently, I had been searching in Google news that night and came across story after story of children being abused and/or killed by the mother’s boyfriend.
This was just the preliminary search—one day’s worth of news. I don’t know if all the links are still valid or not, but they were all boyfriends abusing the girlfriend’s child.

If I had searched a little bit more, sad to say, I bet I could have come up with more.
I live next door to one of these idiot women. Out of wedlock baby born in January. “Daddy” kicked out in May. New boyfriend moved in in August. I’m not saying her new boyfriend is going to abuse the baby. I don’t know the guy, but I’m sure it doesn’t even faze her that her "lifestyle choices" may not be good for her little child.
Of course, if the child had been foremost in her mind, she wouldn’t have him in the first place. She would have known that the unemployed sperm donor with two previous kids by different women whom I’m sure he quickly left or had them kick him out after the babies came, wouldn’t be Father Knows Best. I’m no soothsayer, but I could see that scenario playing out like it did a mile away.
But she’s like many young women today—selfish, little to no morals, and partially brain dead.
It was a similar deal with Jessie Davis that was murdered earlier this year by her married, cop boyfriend and sperm donor. It’s repeated thousands and thousands of times all across America and probably very few of these women will ever get a clue. But we are told, who are we to judge. It’s no business of ours not even when society has to pay for the consequences of their lifestyle choices. And of course, their children pay and sometimes pay dearly.

Don’t worry...it happened in Texas.
We are both stepfathers, i.e. we have made a commitment to both the mother and the children. To me there is a huge difference being a stepfather and a live in boyfriend.

I, as a stepfather, somewhat resent being lumped in with no account live-ins. A stepfather has made a commitment to the mother and by extension the kids. You might want to edit your comment a little.

The story is bad enough...but seeing her picture makes me want to weep. I gotta go pray for awhile.

Yes that's very true. It takes courage and many people don't want that kind of heat--I very often count myself among that group sorry to say.

I think I know how that saying goes. Dennis Prager uses one that might be similar. Something to the affect of "those that are kind to the cruel will be cruel to the kind".
they just did this story on Fox. Autopsy revealed multiple events caused her death. They found child porn on his PC. Sounds like this poor angel has been suffering for a while, and IMO no way that mother had no clue.
The victim (maybe a criminal , maybe just random) was secured in a wooden box with his head arms and legs poking out. He/she was force fed milk and honey for days so that eventually he/she was lying in a growing pile his/her own enclosed feces. The pile grew bugs who worked their way inside the body and ate it from the inside while the one in the box was kept alive to enjoy being so devoured....those wacky Romans...
I was a live in boyfriend at one time. Not for very long, but true enough. I wasn’t a monster then either.

I know the MAJORITY of stepfathers are wonderful individuals. I personally know many dads who are doing a wonderful job raising stepchildren.
So, all stepfathers here, please accept my apology if you were offended by my previous comment.
It’s so sad that these women put their sexual pleasure before the safety of their little ones. We live in such a selfish age.
God help all the little ones in situations like this. I pray for them every night during my evening prayer hour.
