He’s not a flip-flopper, he’s not an elitist, and he did not send congratulatory notes to the former president he was supposed to be investigating. Nor did he write a brief to the SCOTUS, advising them of how important it was to restrict our right to speak, and he doesn’t march in Gay Pride parades.

Will doesn’t like Southerners. If you’re not vacationing in the Hamptons or Martha’s Vineyard, you just don’t have the panache to be POTUS.............
You are the victim of Hitlery’s propaganda machine. I do not believe she is electable if the Pubbies run the most conservative person they can get. I just cannot bring myself to beleive that a significant percent of the koolaid drinking 47% of Democrats will, in the end, vote this cold, shrill womanizer abetter person.
She will lose if the Conservative candidate goes after her aggressively. I don’t understand why people think she cannot be put solidly on the defensive every day. There’s so much material to work with.
I prefer Duncan Hunter over Fred Thompson any day, my first preference is Mitt Romney, but I am getting to know Duncan Hunter in the debates and like what I see.
if perchance Fred should win the Republican nomination, I of course would vote for him over any Democrat, because after living 20 years in Massachusetts, if there is one thing I know, it is.. I am not a Democrat.
That being said, Fred is not going to win the nomination.
From the bio on Fred's website, it sounds like part of his legal work was representing the state of Tennessee around 1976. He worked for various US Senate committees in 1980. Those sound like jobs where one must refrain from participating in campaign work.

Eventually the fact that Duncan Hunter is polling below 5% will become important to you.
There are lots of differences between Ronald Reagan and Fred Thompson, first of all Reagan served in the military first, then Reagan became an actor, who later turned to politics, who then became Governor of California. Ronald Reagan did not go back to acting, he continued his political service.
Fred on the other hand Got a law degree, never served in the military, he worked as an attorney , and did some acting on the side, and eventually became a senator, and then he gave up his political life for Hollywood. AS... Fred said, he preferred the fresh air of Hollywood to the air of D.C. Why did he change his mind now, is the air suddenly fresher in DC? Fred never really has had to lead a group of people, his only credientials are being an attorney, actor and senator.
For the last year Will and others telling conservatives how they should compromise and nominate an “electable” liberal somehow find Fred Thompson not conservative enough...

It’s very interesting how Fred Thompson supporters have to keep making excuses for Fred’s record while trying to convince us we shouldn’t support a principled, consistent conservative like Duncan Hunter because of polls.
In case you have not noticed, Duncan Hunter’s supporters care alot about principles. We are supporting Duncan Hunter because he is a consistent and principled candidate.
As far as I am concerned, this is a do or die election for the Republican party. Either they get it right and support a principled candidate who can show the country a consistent record, or the party goes a different route, nominating someone without a consistent record of personal and public integrity. In that 2nd case, we get Hil for sure, and the party loses its base- In other words, dies.
