It is a religion and protected by the First Amendment.

It doesn’t matter whether it stands in complete opposition and denial of our values. We cannot interfere with the free exercise of religion, which includes their call to jihad. It is and must be protected from being infringed upon by the government. Why oh why is this any different than a cult?

A small, evil religious group, often with a single charismatic leader, that engages in brainwashing and other mind control techniques, believes that the end of the world is imminent, and collects large amounts of weaponry in preparation for a massive war.

The reason is it has been condsidered a mainstream religion for centuries. It has grown from a madman in the desert into a cult of unbelievable proportions. As such it is now protected as one of the 3 great religions inspite of what we factually observe as the reality.

If there are any real peaceful muslims they must put down the Jim Jones, Mansons, and Koresh's amongst themselves. Instead they choose to set-up madrassas here in the US and continue the indoctrination of the young.

it is not a religion. If you can’t leave the faith without being under the threat of death, it is a cult.

I’m sure there are legal means to make an exception. After all the SCOTUS found a bunch of legal exceptions for political free speech...
