Even if Obama doesn't mean it, his lack of grasp of Dem talking points an utter ignorance of issues pertaining to Iraq prove beyond any doubt that this guy should not be takes seriously as a presidential candidate.

I was watching live and was flabbergasted.

“Ethnic cleansing... a positive development.”

Who advises this dimwit? Hillary’s campaign strategist?

He was trying to denigrate the progress by ascribing the reduction in violence to ethnic cleansing. Then he called it a positive development. He can’t juggle two ideas in that pointy skull at the same time.

I thought the separation of the Kurds for the southern Arab factions after GW I and now the separation of mixed populations into relatively pure camps of Shi'a and Sunni was a bad thing.

It's more a consolidation of factions planning a civil war, not ethnic cleansing as we saw in Kosovo.

I think he's positioning for 2012 or 2016. Remember, the Xlintons were surprised to win in '92. They had planned to win in 1996 against an open GOP presidential slot. They never expected to unseat a sitting incumbent who was a victorious war president.
