(09-11) 20:25 PDT San Francisco -- Another attempt by San Francisco Supervisor Chris Daly to permanently ban the Blue Angels from flying over the city was blocked Tuesday night.
Daly previously introduced a nonbinding resolution calling on the Port of San Francisco to end the annual air show, but a board legislative committee refused to send it on to the supervisors chambers for a vote.
The District 6 supervisor has subsequently amended the legislation to ask that flyovers by the elite aerobatic Navy squadron be prohibited above populated areas though allowed over the sea and San Francisco Bay.
"I'm just trying to pass the resolution," Daly said. "I'm trying to accommodate my colleagues. It's part of the legislative process they tell me."
Daly said the measure should be allowed to go before the full board because he thinks other supervisors would vote for the ban...

Some kindergarten “teacher” (actually a moonbat who shouldnt be allowed within 500 feet of children) convinced them that the Blue Angels were bloodthirsty killers who would bomb their school given half the chance. The kids all did paintings begging them not to bomb their school (or anywhere else) because everyone wants peace and to learn.
Teacher claimed the kids were just expressing their inner feelings and fears. (Really)
I can only imagine the kind of wtf moment that must have ensued once the pilots saw these...
That “teacher” should be charged with child abuse!!!

SF makes a millions from people who come here for Fleet Week - which is the real reason the rest of the fruit loops on the board of supervisors don’t support Daly. If they Navy were smart they’d move the air show across the bay to Alameda lock stock and sales tax revenues.
Yea but for the rest of us it's fun to look out the window of the old high rise on the Friday afternoon before Fleet Week and watch the Blue Angles on their practice runs - knowing that it's annoying both the boss and the moon bats below.
BTW, the 38th floor of a high rise in the Financial District is the best place to watch the show. Nothing like eye level.
