September 11 is here. For me, that means I'll be taking some time within a day or two of that date to watch this video. Lest we forget!
I don't want to watch it. I know what will happen. Within two minutes, tears will be streaming down my cheeks. I'll be somber and depressed for hours.

I have a different take on the tears and grief than that.
I do seek out reminders from time to time. And yeah, I tear up quick when I recall the agony of those people on that day. Just like I tear up when I consider how fine the men are that we have lost, in this fight against mere vermin that aren’t in any measure even worth their bullets.
Those tears aren’t wallowing in pity. They’re feeding a resolve to press on. They’re renewing a righteous rage.

Sadly, there are few who read this online forum who are in need of a reminder. It’s the unwashed masses out there who have forgotten. For better or worse, the World Trade Center was a non factor in the lives of most Americans, and the way things were handled politically following the attack enabled most of the country to fall back asleep.
Bush told them to keep shopping...and they did.
I was shocked, amazed and disappointed.
Driving around town today I did not see any cars flying an American flag.
