I’ve been a football fan for 40 years (ouch). I hate to see anybody seriously hurt, whether they play against my team or anyone else. Spinal injuries are frightening and it’s truly amazing what the trauma team was able to do in this case.

Wonderful news! Especially since it’s coming back so quickly. Usually the sooner you get some movement back the more likely it is that nearly all of it will return.
Speaking from experience, I shattered my C6 vertebrae in a roll over car accident. Couldn’t move my arms or legs for almost 12 hours. I’m about 95% recovered after just 5 months. And you can still get a little more back for up to several years.

I was sitting on the forty yard line at the game where Nick Bonicontti’s son had his broken neck collision ... very similar circumstance and hit position for his head and back. Had that collision happened this weekend, surgeons might have been able to save the youngman’s mobility. Everett has a long road of therapy ahead, regardless of current prognosis.

If you heard the Press Conference the Doctor had there is much more serious issues he has to deal with.
He is in a drug induced coma with a respirator, the next day or so is crucial. The surgery he went thru to ease the pressure on his spine was successful but the Doctor warned he could die too.
Mega Prayers are needed for this guy.
I watched that hit over and over on local TV.
He was limp from point of impact.
