A national pro-troop caravan of vehicles is traveling 4,384 miles across the nation rallying suport for U.S. Troops and their missions in the war on terrorism. The caravan is being organized by Move America Forward, the nation's largest pro-troop organization (website: www.MoveAmericaForward.org )
The caravan arrives in the Chicago-area tonight for a 9/11 candlelight vigil and a pro-troop rally. The event will take place in the Village of Niles at 6:00 PM (Intersection of Touhy & Milwaukee).
Leading the caravan:
*Lt. Colonel Buzz Patterson -- Served as the senior military aide to President Bill Clinton, carried the "nuclear football," and New York Times bestselling author about his experiences and observations in the Clinton Administration. Colonel Patterson is the Vice Chairman of Move America Forward and is a strong supporter of the missions of our troops in the war on terror.
*Gold Star Mother, Debbie Lee -- Mother of Marc Alan Lee, the first Navy Seal killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Unlike Cindy Sheehan, Debbie Lee is a strong supporter of the troops and their missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
*Blue Star Mother, Deborah Johns -- Mother of Marine SGT William Johns who has served 3 tours of duty in Iraq and stands ready to return for a 4th tour of duty. Ms. Johns has emerged as one of the leading spokespersons for the pro-troop movement in this nation. This is her 4th cross-country pro-troop tour.
The Indiana media has been alerted, so let’s make this the “Mother Of All Rallies!”
