I’ve been streaming live video of the ceremony at Ground Zero this morning from the local WABC tv website. I had to catch the name of a guy Mr.FF worked with at the local PBS station. Rod was working at their transmitter the morning of 9/11/01 and never responded to calls which were placed beginning with the first strike. Heck of a nice guy, says Mr.FF.

I was at work too, in my quad cube (with 3 other people).....and I was telling them what was being said on the radio through my earphones. We had no TV. We were told to get back to work...and then other employees starting complaining -—saying they had to get out of there.,...and so around 4:00pm they told us we could go home ‘if we felt it was absolutely necessary(kids, etc)’. I only worked till 4:30. People were so mad at this company....insensitive cheap b@stards.

I hated that company. After a hurricane, half the roof was torn off...literally trashing the 2nd floor (where my cube was). Well....they had rugs and they were soaked almost completely. So, they had us work on computers on wet rugs. After a month of tarps and insurance inquiries, the mold started to smell....and it made me sick. We were told to buy masks. I did. I had one of the good masks from Home depot. But it got too bad and I picked up and moved my cube to an empty one downstairs. The other people I worked with were too scared....I had too....I was getting migraines and dizzy from the mold in the walls and in the rugs. THEN...in about 8 months when the roof started to get fixed, the tar was so bad throughout the whole building and again were we told to put on masks (that we had to buy). I think back on that and could kill myself for staying there so long. We also went 2 1/2 years without a raise.

That’s unbelievable; some companies are heartless. Our company sent us home at about 10:30 or 11 that morning. We found out later that Flight 93 probably passed over our office building on its way to Shanksville.
