I happen to know about the Dream Act because of Attorney Journals.

It has been around for a long time and was actually a issue in the 2004 presidential race where Kerry supported it.

Dick Durbin is pushing this.

There are some miami teenagers lobbying in congress to allow a “valedictorian” illegal alien a chance to go to an open enrollment community college. (they push it as some thing special) It is a CNN sob story de jour.
