Is Code Pink to the left what the Westboro Baptist Church is to the right?
While the anti-war group and the anti-gay church denomination could not have more different politics, the bizarre tactics that both use seem so self-defeating as to give credence to conspiracy theories that they're not what they seem.
The Topeka-based church, of course, is best known for attending the funerals of U.S. soliders with signs asserting that God is incurring His wrath upon America because of the country's tolerance for homosexuality. "God hates Fags" is a perennial favorite among Westboro's subtle sign-wavers.
But just as the church would seem to be an outlandish and extreme cariacture of how some on the far left view the the far right, the Code Pink protestors almost seem to be a parody of a liberal protest group.
To show up and unfurl signs that read "Generals Lie Soldiers Die" outside the House offices where Gen. David Petraeus is testifying today and have a guy prancing around Independence Ave in a W-as-devil mask holding a sign that reads "I've got Petraeus by the soul?"
Karl Rove, Lee Atwater and Donald Segretti couldn't put their heads together and come up with such a dream scenario.
Oh, and that doesn't even include their standing up and repeatedly screaming during Petraeus's testimony.
More than a few Democrats probably said to themselves what House Armed Services Chairman Ike Skelton whispered to Ranking Member Duncan Hunter before a hot mic as yet another of the protestors was dragged out. "That really pisses me off, Duncan," Skelton complained. "Those assh*les."
The Capitol Hill Keystone Kops let them in!!! They came with DEMOCRAT sponsors!!

They were let in by sympathetic Dem operatives. The libs have this conceit that because a lot of Americans don't like the war, they hate the military and agree with the Code Pink idiots. Nothing could be further from the truth. Most Americans despise these far-left morons. But if you asked most Americans, only a tiny minority would know what Moveon.org was or before these repugnant demonstrations what Code Pink was. Hopefully they do now.
and that news clip I saw would have been broadcast around the world...to audiences who have no idea who these idiots (and their sponsors) are. The Dems are intrumental in making the US look as if idiots are running the country.

That is the question that I have been asking myself. How do these clowns keep getting in. This has happened repeatedly during war related hearings. This is supposed to be a high security building so how do they get in, even when they are wearing their code pink mardigras costumes?

Code Pink is that peace loving, group that stands outside of Walter Reid Hospital to taunt the wounded soldiers and their families. Oh yes, they call it a “peace vigil.” Don’t you know it is because they really care for the wounded troops? These people are poison.
Every time there is a hearing about the war, Code Pink shows up like clockwork. Recently I saw one of them sitting in a chair behind the speaker. You could see her chair off to top of the screen. She would hold up signs which were placed on the floor by her chair. She would change the signs every few minutes. The signs said things like “get of of Iraq”. She knew that the signs could be clearly seen by the television audience. It got to be very distracting and embarassing. These people are living examples of arrested development.
To show you what insiders they are, this person with the signs on the floor knew where the cameras were and that she was close enough to be within the frame of the tv screen. She was also able to get the perfect aisle chair. This person had inside information. Maybe they were able to gather this information themselves or maybe someone in the Democrat party told her the perfect place to sit to be clearly seen by the tv viewers.
It is hard to distinguish the Democrat party from the anti-war activists since the anti-war activists become part of the Democrat staff.

The women who lead Code Pink are in that tradition.
