Honestly, have you ever REALLY heard what Giuliani, Huckabee, Romney, or McCain will do on the war on terror? Kudos to Paul for being specific and letting his stuff hang out there while the other candidates repeat talking points and regurgitated soundbites. There's already going to be some drawdown of troops next year anyway per General Paetreus.
Ron Paul's writings are archived and prominently showcased on LewRockwell.com -- a man so "conservative" and "right-wing" that he's listed in court divorce documents as having had a long-term adulterous affair with none other than Cindy Sheehan:
"The Sheehan divorce stretched over months. [...] Cindy had not told her children about her affair with Lew Rockwell, a married right-winger with a libertarian bent that led him to anarchist views and to despise President Bush. Cindy regularly contributed to Lew's web site and helped him to raise money at a special speaking event. [...] [S]he confessed everything to her children. If you weren't aware of this, up until this very moment... then: I'm not the one "in the bubble," news-wise.
If you were... then: you're no less in bed with the likes of Sheehan than Rockwell and (by extension) Paul are, in the final analysis. And -- all harsh words aside -- I do sincerely believe you to be a good deal smarter than that. I'm genuinely hoping you'll (eventually) prove me right, on that score.
JIM: it's your site, and your call, of course... but, under the circumstances: would the posting of any future articles here from lewrockwell.com really be any different, substantially, from those posted from (say) DailyKos, or DU...?

Well, we’ll have to agree to disagree then. Like I said, my participation on the Paul threads will cease until the primaries. Despite what you think otherwise, Paul still has a legion of folks supporting him. He’s only one of two candidates (Fred) who can attract a diverse coalition. Socons themselves aren’t going to be enough for whoever the Republican nominee is; You’re going to need some of them “losertarians” and swing/independent voters. Sooner or later you’re going to either keep trashing Paul, which will turn off his supporters, or you’re going to have to somewhat reach out to him and kiss his behind. The choice is yours.

What does that have to do with Paul? Paul hasn't been with Rockewell since the early 80s when Rockwell was Paul's chief of Congressional staff. So Rockwell archives all of Paul's writings on his website. BFD -- in the words of De Niro on The Untouchables, you got NOTHING.

Wally Cox? Nah..... Ron Paul bears a much closer resemblance both in looks and in principled integrity to one of my childhood heroes. Roy Rogers.
They're fricking presidential candidates. Of course they'll beat their chest and say how tough they'll be on the WOT. Have you heard any of them give specifics other than talk in generalities? NO.

Paul will at least secure the borders and use interior enforcement to weed out the Muslims plotting jihad here. He would likely ban or control immigration from Muslim countries. Our troops will come home, yes, but that only means the ragheads will go back to killing each other and squabbling over petty religious differences like they have been for the past several milleniums.

Paul will win a primary or two, you can bank on it.
