I turned off the TV and did not want to watch this lunatic Ron Paul but even for a defeatist like him this is a new low.

I read somewhere that President Bush was a reptilian alien, doesn’t make it true.. Thompson didn’t say they are over here because smoking is banned. It was a commentary on the reasons why Iraqis are turning on Al Qaeda there, one of which was their ban on smoking (among other things).

It’s amazing, England and the US made the middle east rich by developing their resources. Weve been there since the early 20th century. Only now we all must become muslim to stop their attacks. RP is not good at reality.

Heh JV! Yes it is a new low. I was stunned and had to play it back to make sure I heard him correctly.

Well some of us don't get our information spoon fed from Fox until we're whipped up into a frenzy of fear. Dr. Paul's statement on blowback is based on history. He's not saying the terrorists were right, he's not saying he agreed with the SOBs, but the point is they were mad, and it wasn't at our 'freedoms' or whatever catchphrase Sean Hannity happens to be using today.

Right, if it wasn't for Fox News the entire world would recognize there is no ideological component to terrorism, it's just a logical reaction to American colonialism in the region since the early 50s, and once we've completely withdrawn from the entire region, not just Iraq, everything will be hunky dory.

Nasty Fox news, the neocon network.

The good news, I don't think O'Reilly identified him as a Republican.

Paul agrees with everything FR stands for except for the war.

Would that be his 50% border security/amnesty voting record or his 70% pro life voting record, or the fundamental problem we have with him isn't that he opposes the war, it's why he opposes the war. It is the fundamental difference in thinking, that America is the cause of the world's problems versus the solution. I think if anyone else had his voting record, he would be slammed as a RINO not far off from Rudy, but because he talks a lot, people magically forgive his votes.

Example, Ron Paul on Border Security: (are these Freeper principles?)

(1) Votes against putting the Military on the border
2006: H. Amdt. 206 to H.R. 1815
2004: Goode Amendment to H.R. 4200
2003: Goode Amendment to H.R. 1588
2002: H. Amdt. 479 to H.R. 4546
2001: Traficant amendment to HR 2586
2000: Traficant amendment to H.R.4205
1999: Trafficant Amendment to H.R. 1401.
(2) Paul voted in 1997, 2001( H.R. 1885) and 2002 (H RES 365) to grant, extend or continue Section 245-i amnesties for illegal aliens.
(3) Paul voted NO on extending the voluntary Basic Pilot Workplace Verification Program (H.R. 2359),
(4) Paul voted NO on the border fence in 2005 (Hunter Amendment to HR 4437 - “Enforcement Only” Bill).
(5) Paul voted YES to increase H2-B (HR 763 in 2005) and H-1B visas (HR 3736 in 1998). In 1998, he voted to allow US firms to lay off Americans to replace them with foreigners.

Well, JimRob has his opinion of Paul and I have mine. If Paul was really associated with the Truthers or other left-wing groups it'd be documented by now and I wouldn't support him. It's no surprise that some of these individuals are trying to exploit his campaign as his message is different than the rest of the GOP clones.

You and others can bash Paul all you want but my vote goes to him in the primaries. I value my freedom and liberty and limited gov't and so far none of the other GOP candidate except for Fred are really talking about the real issues facing America. And if you really believe the majority of American people support a long-term commitment in the Middle East, you're smoking crack. Get out of the FR bubble sometime and pay attention to Main Street USA. Decent folks are sick and tired of our troops being used as Risk board game pieces around the world.

Ouch, that's been one of my concerns. I've seen him used a couple times by Dem organizations, OK we have KOS but you have Paul

We never tried to Colonize the Middle East. They attacked us after they acquired the riches to do so. Greedy bastards all.

Oh I agree......regardless of Pauls good or bad points. I lean towards the Thompson / Hunter ticket myself. I would like to see those too in the POTUS/VPOTUS seats........

I really have a dislike for presstitutes. They can pull in all the subject matter experts in the world and still orchestrate the outcome to meet their MSM needs IMHO........

Paul was no less than a deer in the headlights on that show ......he got what he deserved.

Hope yer well !
