"Former senator John Edwards (N.C.) bragged that the small town where he grew up, Robbins, N.C., "is now half Latino." And Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (Ohio) said Spanish should become a second national language, a stance that Dodd and Richardson would not adopt."

You a frustrated editor by any chance?
Of course the Democrat party is happy about this. They need the votes, and will get them as soon as Mrs. Bill Clinton is elected.
Hey! I've got an idea for ya , munchkin. LET'S MAKE ENGLISH THE FIRST NATIONAL LANGUAGE!
Go breck girl!!
If Kucinich has been born in the Soviet Union, he would have been a card carrying member in the Kremlin.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
If it was only democrats, I wouldn’t worry as much!
Will they be ready for “push two for English?”

Promises, promises...
Martinez and the Bush Administration should pay attention. It is impossible to out pander the Democrats. They’ll trump you every time, and in the end, what does it matter? At most there is less than 5 percent of the Hispanic vote in play. Democrats are going to get 75 to 80 percent of the Hispanic vote, even if the GOP destroys itself trying to get a fraction of a percent more. The little bit of a swing may or may not make a difference now, but in the near future, with the explosive growth of the Hispanic population, Democrats will win the day, by a landslide. If pandering to Hispanic voters is the only growth plan up the GOP’s sleeve, we are doomed.
Bush got 44% of Hispanic vote, so I stopped reading after your first error.

I’m hoping you’re right.
