Wasn’t he seen moving freely around the train?
Ockham's Razor. I think the simplest explanation is that he’s just cracking from the strain. Photos indicate he wasn't in good condition to begin with. Sleep deprivation, stress, and having good reasons to be paranoid... his behavior on the train indicates a psychotic break.

I’m also interested in who paid for the chartered plane that brought Hsu to Oakland Airport and where did they bring him from?
Also, has it been reported exactly where he was headed before offloading in Grand Junction? Amtrak schedules show the route he was on would, in addition to may lesser cities, lead to Denver, Chicago and, depending on transfers and about three to four days on the rails, New York or Washington D.C.

Old pal of the Clinton's also wasn't feeling too well while he was incarcerated because of his dealings with the Clintons, he ended up in solitary confinement and somehow died before he got a chance to spill the goods on the Clintons with Ken Starr.
His name was James McDougall (sp?).

Also, has it been reported exactly where he was headed before offloading in Grand Junction? I believe one account stated that he was ticketed for Denver which surprised me.....why Denver? The Amtrack website requests that passengers arrive 30 minutes prior to departure; Hsu arrived at the Oakland Airport at 5:30AM and the train departed at 7:00AM so he didn't have any time to hang around. I can't figure out why Hsu would charter a flight to Oakland then dash over to Emeryville and catch a train bound for Denver. Lots of bizzare elements in this case.
