My bet is on the second. The anticipation for this is too high to ignore it. Spin is an option, but judging from what we’ve seen, there won’t be much to work with.

So, we’ll probably see the argument that “Patreaus is is a hack, he didn’t really write it, Bush did,” etc...

Well, another Sunday won’t go by until September 11th comes and goes. I shouldn’t have to ask folks what went they were doing then. Folks here remember. It’s apparent that the Sunday talking heads don’t really feel like talking about it—seems taking on the Bush administration and Pres Bush’s Iraq war are what’s trendy today—as well as the coming election next year, where they can finally focus on getting rid of Pres Bush and the last (in their minds) control of the US Government in Republican hands.

But I have NOT forgotten. I even remember that Sunday. Here is the Thread for that day Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread 9 September 2001 It was surprisingly cool and breezy for Alabama, which is usually just as hot and humid in September as it is in August. I was outside that afternoon working, and distinctly remember getting a chill from the cool air—a hint of Fall, or something more foreboding?

WE HAVE FORGOTTEN!

That’s what this post is all about. It’s shameful, and reflects badly upon us. I don’t mean folks on this thread, but Americans overall. We’re too dang busy most of the time to think hard about that day and what’s happened since. We who still remember need to challenge our fellow Americans this week! Everyone of us needs to remind people about the dastardly attack and link it to our ongoing war on Al Qaeda—whether in Afghanistan, other places, and yes, in IRAQ! Al Qaeda is in Iraq. They’ve been in that country since Saddam invited Al Zahqari (May piss be upon him) in for medical treatment in 2002. Let the Left spin about no links between Bin Laden and Saddam, and let them be liars. A Saddam driven by hatred of the USA and Bin Laden and his ilk wanting to carry out more attacks like September 11th? If Hitler could ally with Stalin then Saddam could certainly ally with Bin Laden.

So with that in mind, I give you this song: Darryl Whorely's Have You Forgotten?

I hear people sayin'. We Don't need this war.
I say there's some things worth fightin' for.
What about our freedom, and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backin' down.
They say we don't realize the mess we're gettin' in
Before you start preachin' let me ask you this my friend.

Chorus
Have you forgotten, how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten, when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside goin through a livin hell
And you say we shouldn't worry bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

You took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbin for you and me
It'll just breed anger is what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country just out lookin' for a fight
Well after 9/11 man I'd have to say right.

Chorus
Have you forgotten, how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside goin' through a livin' hell
And we vow to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

I've been there with the soldiers
Who've gone away to war
you can bet they remember just what they're fightin' for

Have you forgotten
All the people killed
Yes some went down like heroes
In that Pennsylvania field
Have you forgotten
About our Pentagon
All the loved ones that we lost
And those left to carry on
Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden

Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten?

Have you forgotten?!

Your link in #26 about the other Kerrey and the New School University is a great read. It sounds like a combo of hard left wing extremist indoctrination and a regular piggy bank for the "correct" politicians. Mostly Rats, but also McCain...

One thing the NYT article didn't mention is that Hillary directed a $1M grant to the New School. IOW she steals our tax money and gives it to a Socialist indoctrination center and she gets money back from various "board members" like Schwartz and Hsu. Nice little scam IMO.

From the Times article: How did someone like Mr. Hsu make his way to the New School’s board? He was a mover and shaker who was recruited by Bob Kerrey, the university’s president and a former senator from Nebraska, ...

And now Bobby Boy is considering running for Senator. If the Republican candidate has enough guts, Hsu should be a major issue. Even if the drive bys try to suffocate it, it should appear in campaign ads right there in the middle of the '08 campaign.

Three questions for mr. kerrey:

1. Do you really want to see the New School indoctrination center and piggy bank exposed for what it really is?

2. Do you want to answer how you picked Mr. Hsu who we know ran a Ponzi scheme fraud company... did he have ANY legitimate business(es) from which to generate his generous donations? Where did the money come from? Communist China? Did you care? Were you just completely careless or did you gladly take dirty and probably foreign money?

3. And probably the most important to your health and wellbeing: Will Hillary be delighted to see you run and bring the Hsu story back in force at the critical time?

Appellate hearing was yesterday. We hope to have their ruling soon whether Hillary is not to be protected by California’s anti-SLAPP law and again joins her impeached husband as a defendant.

I agree, but going after veterans, and trying to screw them out of $4 billion in land they own to appease her hollywierd buddies that’s bit much for even dIFI.

Exactly we are already seeing that, the msm is already trying to spin the Petraeus report as the Bush/Petreaus report!! Are people really that dumb?

Re your charity question in #33: Besides being a little slow to get around to giving any money away, we have no way to know if they actually give any of it at all.

I would guess they don't, but if pressed (by whom?--not the drive bys), they will probably give it to The Clinton Global Initiative, The Clinton Foundation, Hillary's old piggy bank The Childrens Defense Fund--or maybe even cycle it through the New School...

Brit talks about the fact that he doesn’t understand why Mitt is just not breaking out...he is handsome, well spoken, conservative, has proven leadership skills, etc., but is just not clicking overall. I don’t think Mitt did all that well in the last debate, and there is something about him that gives me pause and I can’t put my finger on it either.

Kristol talks about how McCain is making a “surge” and I think he is correct. McCain did well in the debate and is by and large the best on the war on terror in the debates and is willing to put all on the line to ensure victory. I really like that about McCain, but he is not my candidate overall (I don’t have on yet), but his stance, substance, and defense of the WOT in excellent.

Today’s talk show guests represent $101,512...or approximately 7% of Norman Hsu’s ponzi Democrat fundraising efforts.

Can they get away with that? Normally I am sure they could, but lots of people are watching her a little closer right now.

Wouldn’t that be more like a “walk of shame” where the Democrats are concerned?

We think so alike it's scary.

While I would certainly support Mitt were he the nominee, he just doesn't come off as genuine as Fred from my standpoint.

Well, a lot of it is the fact that Romney is a very good campaigner and maybe not so much a very good candidate, considering his liberal past. He has to pour a lot of resources and intensive work into making his gains, which he is doing in Iowa and New Hampshire. The result is gains in those areas, while his message doesn’t resonate well in the rest of the country.

Until McCain starts his rant against terrorist interrogation & Rumsfeld.

Reason enough to conclude that his mind is too unstable as a result of his torture to ever be CIC.

What? You mean that the Moonbats were wrong?

They ALWAYS claim Republicans send other peoples childran off to war and never their own.

I bet the senior Mr. Graham gets a chuckle out of that if he’s still on this earth.

Not to mention that it totally blows out the meme that all republicans are “chickenhawks”.
