Watching FNS with Feinstein and Graham as guests. Lindsey is pro-surge and speaks quite well to the facts on the ground having been there for 2 weeks. Feinstein of course, takes the opposite position and calls for an end of the surge because it is not sustainable. Poor dear, she doesn’t understand the “surge” concept as is evidenced by her comments that we can’t sustain the surge past the spring. The surge was a temporary one year injection of additional forces in theater...and was never intended to be extended beyond that point.

Of course, Dianne and Wallace, both issue the talking point “ the surge was supposed to give room for political reconciliation and that hasn’t happened”. These folks expect action in 24 hours, they simply cannot see the goal posts.

A Federal structure for Iraq could work IF the central Govt is powerful enough to maintain order and Iraq’s sovereignty. Problem is what the “Partition Iraq” crowd wants is not to “fix Iraq” but figure an easy way to run away from Iraq.

How they figure making 3 completely unviable state-lets in place of the current Iraq would be “better” for the USA is simply incomprehensible.

We are struglgling to field a military of 150,000 troops in Iraq when we are facing a nuke threat right next door which will limit us to dropping bombs and crossing fingers.

While meanwhile we have enemies like China with over a billion in population which will one day field an army of who knows how many slaves, ordered to do just about anything....we better get with it and prioritize a little bit better.

Saw that earlier MNJohnnie and it tracks nicely to something Talibani (sp) said to Woffie the Blitzer several weeks ago. I expect that Maliki government to work full force now to get these legislative issues passed. I think they fully understand that the democrats will turn their back on this new found ally in the wot because the democrats want to surrender to OBL and AQ. Just look at the OBL tape and tell me what is different between what his rambles were and those of the democrat leadership (given that even OBL didn’t call our troops Nazis, like the leadership in the democrat party did).

Yes, BUT...unless and until the media start reporting on the DIFI adventures, she is safe from ever having to answer. Hopefully the FBI will raid her home soon enough, just like they did with Senator Stevens. DIFI is dirty, imho, and her dirt should be aired and not spiked by the media, but I doubt it will happen.

On a side note, Fran Townsend looks awesome in her bright outfit today and is awesome with her words. Calls Edwards both irresponsible and ignorant. HA!

It is a clever bit of propaganda by the Terrorists. There is a segment of the Left who will eat this crap up. People like Hillary, Kerry, Kennedy et al were dragged kicking and screaming after 09-11 to do ANYTHING but spend a ton of money on “Homeland Security”. The Democrats can convince themselves that "he just like us" now.

I would not be surprised if we now see the same silly “we need to understand why they hate us” and “we need to sit down and neogiate with them” talking points pop up from the Leftist politicans again.
