Great post no telling.<p.

It's amazing just how much power the clintonista crime family actually has.
I just heard stuffy Stephy interviewing Mcain. McCain was tapping his shoe like mad under the table for Stephy offering it up but Steffy had his Clintoinista agenda all in stone

(a bit racy over there)
Scheuer was definitely a wing nut at CIA, but my guess is there were others as well.

What? Do neck braces run as required evening wear in the Kennedy Family?

Of course, nothing wrong with either one's neck, just trying to get sympathy from the stupid and gulible.

Guess it worked, since Ted never went to jail for manslaughter.

Brit talks about the fact that he doesn’t understand why Mitt is just not breaking out...he is handsome, well spoken, conservative, has proven leadership skills, etc., but is just not clicking overall. I don’t think Mitt did all that well in the last debate, and there is something about him that gives me pause and I can’t put my finger on it either.

This is similar to my reaction to Mitt. While he is a talented business leader, he seem to lack passion for the human side of politics and I think this is an essential missing ingredient. The US--and the world--don't need a venture capitalist turnaround specialist, we need a visionary conservative.

I'm so far behind, this is in response to comments you two made last week about Mary Matalin on Russert's propaganda effort. I agree that she looked both very tired and very unhappy.

She also showed good effects from what I take to be a recent face lift. (There's a tell tale look to the eyes, but it was a really good job IMO.) Besides that she was beautifully coiffed, groomed and dressed very well to frame her own look. And yet she looked tired and unhappy.

At first I thought maybe she was getting fed up with Snake, but she made clear that wasn't it when she tossed in that comment about "I don't know what you guys even mean when you talk about performance. Well, I know what HE means." with reference to Snake who loved the remark and preened over it.

She and Snake are VERY good friends with Timmy. Now the rest of this is a big guess. What if she just now found out that Timmy lied in Plame game and submitted a false affidavit...

IIRC she worked in Cheney's office and so would have known Libby. She certainly knows what he didn't do. But how would any of us react if one of our very top friends turned out to be a completely dishonest liar and personal destroyer. Especially as it would be harmful career wise and family wise to confront him. Just a thought.

...in Britain that we want our leaders to be slightly apart from us and different not just one of the ordinary folk.

I understand. Mr. Thompson has enjoyed a remarkable career in the US. Some of us remember his cool, steady performance as the minority counsel for the Senate Watergate Committee. Others will no doubt recall his many cinema and TV performances. This sort of recognition is priceless in US politics.

Hillary would not be a factor in the race for POTUS had she not been First "Lady" for eight years. This may be shallow, but it is an undeniable aspect of US politics. However, when a posturing, lightweight such as Kerry sets out to impress the electorate with his "extraordinary" gifts, the result is usually predictable--thank God.

I support Hunter, but who in the general public knows him? Even a candidate with Romneys's ample physical and mental positives is, as Brit Hume pointed out this morning, not really catching on with the electorate. As I have previously stated, FDT may have a Lincolnesque attraction for the US that is made possible by the current troubled times and the political tower of babble that has ensued.

The full Weekly Standard piece .. it lays out so much of the background .. and especially why Michael Scheuer is all over the tube playing CYA for posterity.

It really is a MUST read.

Thanks for the reminders of those great quotes from times not all that long gone by about the liars, STARWISE.

Quite a pit of snakes on that New School BoDs and lot of names I don't recognize. My guess is they all have a story if someone were to research them all.

Mary was very much involved and is still involved in the LIbby trial/appeal. I have donated money to him for his defense, and have received letters from Mary regarding this as well as their chair of his defense fund. I’m certain she knows full well what Fat Dim did regarding filing of a false affidavit. Its very interesting, that the fact that he did so, has been pretty much ignored expect on blogs and here.

I have absolutely no problem with the Moron thing and Mitt.

In fact, I agree with you that they are generally better than average people.

I just worry about how the general population feels...wonder if there is some sort of prejudice that would interfere with his electibility??

Just about everything they do is a facade for political networking and enticing new donors.

I know. We missed you. I just paraphrased your clever phrase about how the US Congress was more than justified in taking a well-deserved month off and the Iraqi congress was lower than scum for doing it.

Wow! This is wonderfully coincidental.

I teach Sunday school (catechism) to 5-6 graders and we started back up today after taking the summer off. Anyway, I gave all the kids a 23rd Psalm book marker gift to welcome them back. We read it together, discussed what it meant, and at the end of class said a prayer in remembrance of 9-11. These kids are 11/12 YOs, so most don’t remember 9-11 as we do.

Living the dual existence that Mary Matalin lives would wear anyone out.

Plus she looks at the alien every morning at breakfast. Most of us would just go back to bed and pull the covers up.

It’s a wonder he didn’t say 7522. When you’re always as drunk as Fat Ted, everything looks double!

I found your post after my note to you. I actually like your phrasing better.

Thanks for the compliments

I’m taking it real easy as I work back into using this new contact lens and seeing with both eyes. It’s really weird, first to have some depth perception for the first time in nearly a year, but then to have a mismatched image in each eye as the vision is so radically different between them. I’ll probably not finish the thread today.
