Ted Kennedy just flat-out lied to the American public.
He just said 4000 troops have died in Iraq. Not even close. Last count I saw was 3761.

I really dont see how partitioning off the country helps unite Iraqis. It looks like more of a L/W get out of Iraq at any cost solution to me. Absolutely, it's a lot more complicated than just Sunnis vs. Shias. You have fighting WITHIN Shias and Sunnis, plus al Qaeda stirring up trouble wherever they can, plus interference from Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. And what is to prevent the partitioned areas from going to war with each other, over resources and egged on by foreign interlopers? Partition is just an over-simplified "solution" that might sound good to lame-brains like Biden but it doesn't correspond to the reality.

Do you think that Mitt could be ... too perfect?
I know that sounds crazy, but he is smooth, way, way good looking and says the right things...
So why do I seem to lean to the large, older, balding, slow-talking guy?

I doubt my fellow soldiers on the ground would see as much to yuck it up about as Mr. Potato Head and Plugs do.
If ANYONE is betraying us...it’s them.

Schieffer asks Ted about “why not cut off funding?”
Ted spins, spins, “well, it’s the Republicans’ fault, we’re going to bring the troops home ASAP, let’s bring the conversation back to ‘it was a mistake to be here’.”

McCain needs to stop attacking Rummy, it does him no good, but he can and should attack the media as often as possible.
McCain attacks Rumsfled because he's an easy target and cannot hurt him politically now in any way. In fact, in McCain's mind, targeting Rumsfeld perhaps makes McCain more attractive to a lot of people in the middle of the Republican party and a lot of Dems, so I predict more Rummy bashing, not less.
McCain won't bash the MSM too much as he wants to curry their favor and receive favorable press - that's the name of the game. IMHO, McCain will continue to kisss their you know what.

LOL! Typical Liberal. They have the majority party...yet refuse to take the responsibility that comes with that power.
Too easy to blame it on the other guy.

Glad to see you post this.Agreed!
So far I have only heard the general before plugs refer to how dangerous a job we have coming up with Iran.
We can ill afford to let them develop centrifuge after centrifuge, brag about it, and continue to interfere in Iraq killing our soldiers.
The day will come when we have to act.

Ted has just written off the surge as a failure.
Does he have a clue what’s going on over there?

You mean Margaret will be the next Texas governor and Gonzales the next nominee to the Supremes?
I hope he doesn’t do that...I don’t think Gonzales could get confirmed and I’m not sure I’d want him to.

Ted: “We have strategic interests in that region and that’s what we have to work on.”
Then turns around and says “We can’t be held hostage there.” Blames the administration again. Do we have a drinking game for how many shots we have to take every time Ted blames Bush?

IMHO he was using it to help ease the years of bumps and injuries he took as a pro QB.
As someone who is older trying to keep up with the young kids...I know how hard it is to come back from injuries and strains.
As long as it’s not someone like Romo or Whitten...I don’t think we have anything to worry about.
