It was the county chief of police, and in front of 112,000 race fans, he forgot the words. Probably sweated a pint in six seconds before he remembered and got through it.

I was there, at the track, hand over heart. I didn’t hear this. But I was aware of a big pause between “for which it stands” and “One Nation . . .”

We could not see what was happening, and it was hard to hear him. Who what it??

The poor guy was absolutely petrified! I could see his bounding pulse on the TV screen!! :)
I’m jealous Capt. Jack! That was one great race! My guy won, but I hated to see Jr. out of the chase. He put on one good show!

Hope it was merely a Bush-ism, but it sounded like he intentionally pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, for which Republicans stand...?

Sounds good to me...Maybe we can get it changed!
