>>>>>>It's simple logic. Thompson wrote off the early primary state of New Hampshire .... And he doesn't seem to be making an effort in the early caucus state of Iowa.

More media spin-opinion. Fred`s campaign roll out was his primary goal this week. And it was successful. Not attending a debate that was scheduled for the same time frame, doesn't mean he's not going to compete in NH or Iowa. Fact is, Fred just spent time in the Hawkeye state. All this careless opining could lead to some folks eating a bunch of crow in the next month or two. Especially if Fred gets 10% points up on Rooty and deposits $10 million in his campaign coffers. Underestimating Fred`s final end game may not be the best course to take.

Well said, I expect Thompson’s support to surge in those places. Romney seems to have a core support level of 10%, but above that, I suspect the support is very soft. All of the other candidates have votors who can be peeled off as well. When push comes to shove, I expect Thompson to win or to come in second in the early contests (probably 2nd in NH, 1st or 2nd in Iowa, 1st in SC)
