Ron Paul clearly won the Republican presidential debate last night held in New Hampshire. Viewers were asked to text in their thoughts on who won the debate, Ron Paul received 34%, Giuliani 17%, all others lower. Fred Thompson who did not appear at the debate was clearly the largest loser as his pro-war stance and republican hard line talking points seem to be not what the people are looking for.
Sean Hannity, Fox News pundit, was clearly upset with the results and deliberately ridiculed Congressman Ron Paul. Although outpacing all other candidates by a 2-1 margin, it was clear that Chris Wallace and Brit Hume had tones of sarcasm when talking of Ron Paul. Giving absolutely no credence to Cong. Paul's responses, they even cut off his answer in a heated exchange between Paul and Huckabee, then declaring that Huckabee won the debate on that point.
Ron Paul demonstrated last night that he is the only Republican candidate that gives any thought to issues and his answers, all others gave stock replies and mostly followed the party line.

“The stoneless Ron Paul got his head handed to him by
Huckabee. If Paul were elected president, bomb shelters
would come back into fashion.”
The same sort of thing was said about Barry Goldwater, and his candidacy launched Conservatism as we know it today, not the Watered Down Nixonian Republicanism that is being peddled.
“Ron Paul is way right of Fred, Rudy, Mitt, and John on about all issues.”
Yeah, and I make sure I’m not brainwashed by ‘FAUX NEWS’, which is run by corporate AmeriKKKa, owned by BU$H and the other reTHUGlicans./s
Your inane rhetoric gives you away.
When we have a poll here on FR, how many times can we vote?
I assume we can only vote once. Is that true or not?
When one voted, a text message was returned accepting and thanking one for the vote. Now in all honesty, I didn’t try to vote twice since that is a matter of honor to me. However, I read stories today somewhere along the way that only one vote per cell phone was allowed. I guess one would have to request info from Fox to settle it. But the technology exists to prevent it like it does here on polls. I would presume that anyone attempting to vote without caller ID would be denied as that would only be fair and proper for a legitimate poll utilizing the text method. Besides, they wouldn’t be able to return the message accepting and thanking one for the vote.
Ron Paul is the thinker of debate. Has a far superior grasp of the issues and delivers a message of freedom.
I think Sean might have been out of work if he HADN'T made fun of Ron Paul. The higher-ups at Fox News (as high as Murdoch himself, I bet) seem to have decreed (in my opinion) that Ron Paul must be shut down as quickly as possible, so Sean (in my opinion) is doing the bidding of his paymasters. Fox News seems to operate with an agenda, and part of their current agenda - in my opinion, from watching them - is to promote Rudy and to promote more war in the Middle East. Ron Paul gets in the way of both objectives, so it looks (in my opinion) like Fox hosts have orders to try to shut him down.
The truth is, Bush pulled our troops out of Saudi Arabia after the terrorists hit us on 9-11.
****Most Ron Paul supporters are.*****
I don’t know how you check when you first joined this forum, but I know it was back in the Clinton days. Prior to joining this forum, I was a very active member of the old Townhall Forum. In its hay day, TH was the largest conservative forum on the Internet and was sponsored by the same group that sponsored the Texas Straw Pole. If any old TH’ers are here, my screen name was jme.
In 1996, I supported Pat B. in the primaries. Mainly because I thought then and think now that “free trade” is killing the country, and destroying our middle class. However, I was also for Pat’s idea of bring the troops home and getting out of the M.E. entanglements. But of course Pat was branded as an anti-semite for those views.
I can understand, but not agree with the argument that we should stay in Iraq for various reasons. However, do we really needs troops in 120 countries around the world?
For all you people complaining that RP supporters spam the text poll consider this from Drudge.
******FLASH: Last night’s New Hampshire debate on FOXNEWS was most watched debate of ‘07 election season..3.1 million viewers tuned in (854,000 in the 25-54 demo) ... Debate blows out CNN’s Bill Clinton appearance on KING which averaged just 1.4 million viewers... MORE...*******
Do you think that it is just possible that the jump in viewer ship had anything to do with the large number of Ron Paul Meetup groups spreading his message and the newly initiated tuning in for their first look at a debate? And RP banners, signs, bumper stickers, shirts, etc. are starting to show up every where, maybe some people tuned in to get their first look at the candidate that is causing all the excitement.
Since the last debate probably 5-10,000 more people have joined RP’s meetup groups. Of course, most of them, like me, watched the debate intending to vote for RP.
I don't like bursting balloons or watering down the koolaid but Ron Paul's performance last night was that of a blithering idiot totally unfamiliar with the US Constitution and eminently under qualified to wear the mantle of Commander in Chief.
I have nothing against casino gambling per, but couldn’t you find this article and post it from someplace other than a casino gambling news website?
Ron Paul won the debate?
He didn’t win and he doesn’t impress me one bit.
and Hannitys cackling while Paul was trying to answer was classless and beneath contempt. That being said, dont believe for a second that Paul supporters didnt spam that poll. 34%? I think not.
It's obvious that if they didn't spam, let's just say they were more likely to be far more enthusiastic and motivated to call. I don't know what to make of this.
I suppose that is the definition of "Democracy". Squeakiest wheel gets the oil. I remember years ago back in college we had a Student Council President who was very unfriendly to the Greek sytem (Fraternity and Sorority). We were instructed to pick up our beers and march down en mass and vote for the Greek candidate running against him. The folks in the Dorms were unmotivated and didn't care. Take a wild guess who won...by a vote of 1,000+ to 50 something.
The poll was spammed. RP is a moonbat. RP is not worthy.

Naysayers to RP can say what they want. They can blame any group they want because he won the text message poll. But the fact is that America has had it with demos and neocons.
Americans want the Constitution restored. Americans want our freedoms and liberties restored. Americans want someone, anyone with kahunas to stand for American principles, values, and the American Constitution.
Americans voted in that poll last night. Neocons still don’t get it. But they best get used to it. Because sooner or later we will restore this nation to the values upon which this great nation was founded.
It is my sincerest hope we begin now. And from the looks of things, and all the studies I have done on RP, no one comes close to his principled ethics in word and deed. Sure some make fun of his shrimp pork, but he would never vote for them...and never did.
Can you imagine Dr. No at the helm vetoing all the BS unConstitutional legislation. Congress would be fit to be tied. Or should I say, fit to be tarred and feathered. Meantime, while they are wrestling with getting a two thirds majority to overrule him, he is busy unwinding all the unConstitutional executive orders.
Law of attraction: think it, believe it, and it shall be.
Do you remember what replacing the leadership of Iran cost us thirty years ago? Why are you so convinced that turning Saudi Arabia upside down would turn out differently. 60% of the populace are radical Wahabbi adherants. Who would the next leaders be and why are your sure they’d be any better?
If there’s a nuclear program going on there I’m unaware of it. If so though, I do not approve and would want the site taken out just like I would Iran’s.
So, this requires people working for the company overseeing the voting to visually identify all of the phone calls coming in to register who the caller thinks won the debate? Or, is this being done by automatons? And, do you have any evidence that the company overseeing that polling information actually was using this technology? It’s one thing to say that the technology exists, and a completely different thing to demonstrate that it was implemented for these polling results. Proof would be a way to demonstrated the claim. Until then . . . (I’m waiting).
If one knows a simple trick, one can vote numerous times on the polls being conducted on FR. Whether or not a single vote could only be accepted by that poll has yet to be demonstrated by anyone. So, until I see something substantive, I’ll continue to question those results.
The Saudis would not allow us to carry out air strikes from their soil. The Saudis are not our friends. Well, only when it is to their advantage. They use and abuse the US. They send hijackers to destroy us and our way of life. They failed. Yet still, they were invited to Texas for a cook-out. We’ve all seen the pic.
