TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A law enforcement official says 11 public officials from across New Jersey, including a mayor and two state lawmakers, have been arrested in a federal corruption investigation.

The official says the arrests are related to insurance contracts for local governments.

The official says two Democratic state lawmakers, the mayor of Passaic (puh-SAY'-ihk) and the chief of staff to Newark's City Council president are among those arrested.

It really would. I hate this f’ing state now. They take your money, your freedom and then wonder why thousands of people leave every year net of those coming in. DPRNJ. It’s hopeless.

Thank you for the invitation. Actually, NC was my first choice as one of my sons was posted to Ft Bragg. He’s career military. Had a house in Fayetteville. I’m retired Army so it would have been ideal to be near the Ft Bragg hospital. My son is now attending Sergeant Major Academy, Ft Bliss, TX and was just selected for promotion to E9. It is doubtful he will go back to Ft Bragg as the 3 Command Sergeant Major slots there are occupied. He’ll likely end up with 82nd or 101 ABN Div. In any case, I have another son who lives in SC—Pickens, near Greenville. Pretty country what with the Blue Ridge Mts being there. Hopefully we’ll be relocated before summer season next year. And, it is a red state.

WTF is up with people in Jersey and their love for "the Carolinas." Why not Tennessee where you don't have to pay an income tax, or even Nevada?

The Carolinas S-CK! My sister just spent seven years living in Greenville.

And not a single mention of party affiliation in the whole article. Sounds like a clean sweep to me.

Meanwhile, a Minneapolis Red-Star Tribune article three days after the Craig story broke mentioned Republican affiliation ten times in a single story.

Beware thinking you will move to the south and all will be well. Corruption by back woods good-ole-boys is alive and well and much of it is just coming to the surface in many of the small towns. Myrtle Beach in Horry County SC is right in the midst of many scams and the NJ people are moving down by the droves. Please research all state, county and local governments BEFORE moving. Basing your life one one week vacation each year for 30 years can be damaging!

What a cesspool!!! Of course, NJ has such a long tradition of Democrat corruption and depravity than nothing should surprise us anymore. Classic quote from the US Attorney, relayed by Michelle Malkin's blog:

In a nutshell, the corruption arrests of nearly a dozen public officials “continues to scratch the surface of the problem we have here in New Jersey,” U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie said at a press conference announcing the sting. “I thought I could no longer be surprised by a combination of brazenness, arrogance and stupidity,” Christie said, “but the people elected in this state continue to defy description.” Yep. They don’t call my home state the “armpit of the nation” for nothing.

You and everyone else in a free state should be grateful that when your comrades from NJ, NY, MA, CT choose to move that it is NOT to your state. Or a state that you like.

They escape the high taxes and Big Gubmint.

They go there and then vote for the same liberal, Big Gubmint douchebags they voted for when they were on the other side of the Berlin Wall.

Then they sit around with their palms upwards and wonder how this state turned into the same sinkhole as the one they just left.

One of my colleagues at work, lives in the Pleasantvill schools sending district. Their board of education is one the most corrupt and worst cell pools of education in the state.

The poor guy told me he will have to work till he is in his 70's to pay for the private schools his three kids are going to have to attend.
