Special Visas for Illegal Aliens Who Become Crime Victims By Susan Jones CNSNews.com Senior Editor September 06, 2007
(CNSNews.com) - People who come into the United States illegally and then become victims of crime may get special protection from the U.S. government.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on Wednesday announced an interim final rule that grants "temporary immigration benefits" to crime victims who assist government officials in investigating or prosecuting the criminal activity.
The goal is to bring crime victims out of the shadows where they tend to hide if they fear deportation.
The new rule offers protection and temporary benefits to victims who are illegal aliens -- and it also bolsters the capabilities of police to investigate and prosecute criminal activity, USCIS said.
The public will have 60 days to comment on the rule, which is about to be published in the Federal Register.
"Many immigrant crime victims fear coming forward to assist law enforcement because they may not have legal status," said USCIS Director Emilio Gonzalez.

OUR government is supposed to be looking after OUR interests. But it isn’t. The interests of everyone else in the world come first, as far as OUR government is concerned. We are just the suckers who pay the bills.
Thay pretty well sums it up. They don't care that we are being subjected to infectious diseases, defrauded by theft of our SS#'s, having violent crimes put upon us, our schools ruined, our culture destroyed, and our health systems overburdened.

Ah, yes. The ‘victim’ will be given legal status and since they’re ‘traumatized’ from the crime, don’t speak English, they are on an automatic path to SSI.

If illegal aliens become victims, then send them back home. Lots of Americans become crime victims, many of them at the hands of illegal aliens.

Doesn't matter to me if it's an activist with influence, a government-subsidized subversive group, the official enforcers who would even entertain the idea should be fired. Yesterday.

Please note that the press release does not mention the word "illegal' once.
The clear implication is that we are dealing with legal immigrants.
Apparently the actual page for comments either has not been posted yet at the USCIS, or they are making it as difficult to find as possible.
Is anyone surprised?

The purpose of the U nonimmigrant classification is to strengthen the ability of law enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute such crimes as domestic violence, sexual assault, and traficking in persons, while offering protection to alien crime victims in keeping with humanitarian interests of the United States.
Not only are they exploiting the ignorance of the American citizen, and his apathy, but they are implicitly suggesting that illegal aliens deserve special consideration beyond the free services they already get; they are setting up a whole "personal police and investigative force" for just the illegals.
Also implicit is that "humanitarianism is important for illegals, but ignored for us who pay their salaries, the American legal taxpayer.
Yesterday it was the judge in the 9th circus telling Homeland Security they coulnd't send a letter to employers warning them they will suffer fines and maybe jail for hiring illegals.
What will tomorrow bring and how long can we hold back the flood casued by weeping sympathizers?

There is neither the requirement that the perpetrator be found or that he is even real.In addition, there is no penalty whatsoever for falsifying a crime to claim special status.
