My feeling on Fred in the race is that he is going to cause the 10 dwarfs to step all over each other trying to prove who is the most conservative and in the end they will betray themselves with their own actions and words. Rudy,Mitt,Capt. Queeg are not conservative. Huckabee, Brownback appeal mostly to the evangelical right.Hunter and Tancredo are one trick ponies(although important tricks) Paul appeals to an even further fringe of voter. Fred is going to change the dynamics of the GOP race

Could be but I haven't seen too many politicians from Tennessee who are very conservative either (Baker, Frist, Lamar... and then of course there's Gore) but for now I'll listen to Thompson who wants to "bring us together".

I was THOROUGHLY disappointed in what I heard. A question about a US response to the scenario of the continued belligerence of Iran against the US, Israel and ALL non-Muslims, including all the attending horrors their lunatic leader has in store for the ME and the world no matter what we or any others do about it.
Their answers (everything I heard) was more of the lame, BS equivocating we have heard for so long. That same lame BS got us where we are.... quizzing Presidential hopefuls closely as to their proposed reaction to imminent violence and repeated and ever more ferocious threats from Iran... threats to us directly in and outside of Iraq and threats to our allies and interests there and world wide. Does even ONE of those SOB’s comprehend that talking, submitting US defense policies to a ‘global test’, diplomatic shilly-shallying, schmoozing with incorrigible allies, economic or other ‘sanctions’, initiating ‘bipartisan’ debates in the US, shamelessly courting the ever more biased and ineffectual UN, etc. have to date, proved such embarrassingly vain efforts in mitigating Iran’s mission of hate, destruction, violence and power-mad/pseudo-religiosity in the ME and have NO merit as viable alternatives to either threatened or direct force from the US or any of the coalition powers.

Fred sits on the sidelines for months & is too afraid to join a debate once he gets off his duff - I will not vote for him - he does not have what it takes in my eyes !!

I agree, who cares? You will be in the company of millions who prefer Socialism and the Megastate to Federalism and the responsibility of individuals.
So what if that’s not your intention? The road to hell is paved with intentions, both good and bad.
