I don't plan to be in Washington on Sept. 15 or participate in ANSWER's demonstration for an immediate end to the war. Nevertheless, I support those who travel to make their case in our nation's capital. Michelle Malkin's praise for the Gathering of Eagles, a militant group preparing to curtail the free speech of groups like ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) sickens me ("Return of the Eagles," Commentary, Sunday).
Every American has a right, granted by the First Amendment of our Constitution, to express views on the Iraq war. As a pro-military, patriotic citizen, I too have serious concerns about America's invasion and occupation of Iraq. I grieve for a future of "persistent conflict," to quote Secretary of the Army Pete Geren. If military action in Iraq isn't concluded one way or another, Americans will be tied down in the Middle East for decades, being drained of blood and treasure."

Oh, yea? See you there with the Eagles ROSALIND!
Militant? Uh.
Aren’t the anarchists who cover their faces at ANSWER events and throw molotov cocktails to cops in DC streets the militant ones, Rosie?
I’m just a mom going with a baby in a stroller to GOE on 9/15. I’m no welfare queen and I’m no militant...
They have the right to say whatever they want...so do the GOE.
ANSWER doesn’t seem to be too concerned about ending any other wars or doing anything about racism anywhere.
Boy, I am glad the GOE peole are more militant than, say, THESE people:
Oh, wait...is that...ANSWER????
And, isn't THAT just precious. But it is okay, their hearts are in the right place and they are doing it for the children...
