It’s almost a certainty that every campaign had many arrivals and departures as they were getting up and running. Thompson’s are just a lot more public, that’s all.
Heck, several campaigns on both sides of the aisle have had top aides and contributors arrested for various offenses, or even flee the country. In fact, the only campaigns I can think of who haven’t experienced public turmoil among their campaign staff are the ones that are so small that they haven’t had the opportunity to hire enough staff that they then have to fire.

Is that what that means? I thought the poster meant Fred didn’t have a double ‘ @@ ‘ button on his keyboard.

Indeed it is. My vote and support is Fred’s to lose at this point.
I was initially a little suprised at the announcement on Leno, but in retrospect, how would a candidate who already has an impending web announcement/statement in approximately four hours (from the time the wires picked up on the Leno taping) go on national late night talkshow and NOT affirm what we’ve all known to be the date for the past several days?
After the decision was made to do a Leno interview, continuing the deferral for even a couple more hours would’ve seemed too slick.
As is, we’re officially announced, and in front of a national audience with a much larger interest in Fred Thompson and the Tonight Show’s entertainment than in an early political debate.

It is more than all that. He just set the tone for the rest of the primary. It is Fred vs the rest of “those guys”.
He has made himself bigger than the others. Now if he can capitalize on that, make that work for him, that is going to be the trick. I have faith and think it will be a very strong run.

Yes that was set with the decision to do Leno and not the upteenth early debate. The coinciding announcement on TV is icing on the cake.
Capitalizing on it despite the liberal media, that’ll be the challenge.

It should. Besides being conservative and smart, he has an authoritative presidential look.

I propose new thread rules for Fred Threads... assuming this hasn't already been adopted.
I don't think I need to explain this proposed rule, do I?

Oh...there you are....disregard. I should have known you'd catch this. :-) This is good news.
Now maybe those miserable, pandering liars - Rudy McRomney - can start becoming a moot point as they should be!
