There's another thread close by that says that the water level of Lake Superior is way down (I don't think that's true) but from this story it seems that the water level of lake Michigan is way up.
I'm so confused.

It is possible. Many factors affect the lake levels including rainfall, spring runoff and inflow/outflow rates. Superior and Michigan are fed by different watersheds and both drain into Huron so one can be higher than normal while the other is lower than normal and the other lakes are at normal levels.
